On Saturday 11th of September 2021, family, friends and members of PMAFA gathered at The Remembrant Hotel in Ikeja, Lagos to witness the memorial service, summit and empowerment program in the name of Late Prince Michael Atobatele who died in 2016.
The entrance of the hall had a large backdrop showing all the pictures of Late Prince Michael Atobatele. There was also a mini tree holding tags of short notes written to Michael Atobatele by guests and families. A segment of the hall had candles lit up around the portrait of Late Prince Atobatele, while another segment displayed Sewing Machines, gas cylinders and a 2 faced table top burners, and clippers accompanied with sanitising machines,to propagate his dream helping others and his love for fashion.
His family set up PMAF and it has since been doing all Prince Michael Atobatele would have loved to do.
The event started by noon with prayers for Prince Michael Atobatele soul ,while his mother stood strong between his siblings Niran Atobatele and Damilola Atobatele. Mc Wole took the microphone immediately after this to announce the fist hymn reading which was sang in remembrance of Prince Michael Atobatele. Niran Atobatele then took to the stage to read from the Holy Bible as the 2nd hymn was sang after this. The 2nd Bible reading was taken by Late Michael Atobatele. Mc Wole then took the stage to call on people to share testimonies on their lives since the past 5 years. The projector was set rolling with a tape showing PMAF progression from its first year to the 4th year.
Mrs Toyin Atobatele then took the stage to present Prince Michael Atobatele photo book for launching. After this, Mrs Bisi Ibitayo was called on to admonish the beneficiaries of the empowerment program.
She charged the beneficiaries to dare to dream and be confident in their line of work. She left the stage open to a panel consisting of Mrs Clara Iyabo,an Etiquette and Poise teacher, Barrister Olubukola, a Lawyer, Mrs Tope Daramola a tailor and Mr Tunde Oludaunsi an entrepreneur.
They urged the beneficiaries, according to their line of expertise, while they encouraged them with words of advice.
The Pastor of Trinity House Church, Pastor Ituah Igodalo prayed for the beneficiaries and the materials they would be empowered with.
Mrs Bola Alinson was then called on to present the gas cylinders to caterers, Mr Dotun was called to present sewing machines to tailors, while Aare Olalekan Alabi was called on to present clippers to the barbers.
Once again Pastor Ituah Igodalo prayed for the beneficiaries prophesying into their lives. The even ended with beneficiaries showing gratitude to Mrs Toyin Atobatele, as she danced joyfully with them, while Dj Topzy played beautiful songs.
Once again it is certain that Prince Michael Atobatele still lives on.
