•3 Years After She Hit It BIG!
Recently, one of the most shocking news broke on social media about the marriage of the popular bread seller turned model oLAumoke Orisaguna. It was reported that her marriage to her husband of 9 years, Sunday Orisagunna, that produced 2 kids, a girl and a boy has crashed.
The story became one of the trending stories online and generated lots of citicisms and bashes from left, right, center. Many people blamed-Jumoke Orisaguna for her inability to keep her home, some said she allowed fame to get into her head and made her to neglect her husband, Sunday Orisaguna; the father of her 2 children. Many were of the opinion that, there is no how the marriage can last because of the man’s inability to cope with the new status of Olajumoke Orisagunna despite all her efforts to carry him along.
To many people, Olajumoke’s marriage crash still comes as a big shock, probably because they see her as one local girl, that God in His infinite mercy chose to bless all of a sudden. Until Olajumoke Orisaguna walked past the location where photographer, TY Bello, was having a photo session with London-based rapper, Tinie Tempah, in 2016, little did she know that it would alter the course of her life?
Her fortunes quickly changed for the better and her story enthralled millions of Nigerians, who were amazed by her good luck. Many further warmed up to her because she usually appeared with her spouse, Sunday, for interviews and she always spoke of him glowingly. The couple loved each other and planned better for their life and that of their children.
Now, the big question is, what has actually gone wrong in a relationship that barely clocked 3years after they came into the limelight? To answer many people who are curious to know, City People gathered that Olaumoke’s ‘husband, Sunday Orisagunna started it all. Sunday, in a recent interview with eelive, revealed that the affair between him and his wife, the mother of two might be hitting the rocks. According to him, he is suspicious of Jumoke’s recent movements with her new manager. He claimed that she had been reckless since she shot into the limelight while neglecting her motherly duties for a long time. In his word, “Sujimoto (Jumoke’s manager) has been of tremendous help to us, though he couldn’t help me as he promised. I appreciate that it was him God used to put roof over our heads. Every time I attempt to get a job, I get scorned because they keep seeing the mother of my children as a superstar. I can work even at car wash outlets, as long as the job is legitimate, I don’t mind. That’s how bad things are”.
On the issue of her relationship with her manager, he said, “I think she was better when she was with Azuka because Azuka and TY Bello have great connections that paid Olajumoke more. I just know her manager calls her; they go out and return late. Sometimes she returns as late as past 12am and without explanations. She doesn’t even tell me where they go and what happens. To be honest with you, I’ve had to be tolerating her rudeness. She talks to me recklessly and I get very upset. I know her attitude to me is this reckless because I’m not rich or have a robust means of income.”
However, in a chat with Sunday Scoop, Olajumoke denied all the allegations made by her man. She said, “Anybody can say whatever pleases them with their mouth. He is the one that has been spreading such stories. When a man knows everything about you, he can choose to do whatever with that information. As for me, I am okay and there is nothing wrong with me.”
Denying that there was any rift in their union, Olajumoke said, “Whatever is going on is known to God. We are still together. He has never discussed all what he has been saying outside with me; so, I don’t understand what he is driving at because we sleep in the same house.
“Well, he can continue saying whatever pleases him, but I will not say anything bad about him. There is nobody I will discuss his matter with. I just leave him to God. God will judge between us.”
Asked if Sunday was displeased because she no longer gives him money, Olajumoke said, “Now, you understand what I have been saying. I do not need to break it down beyond that; you already know what I mean. I will not say anything bad about him. I have handed him to God.”
Refusing to categorically reveal her future plans as regards building a house, the former bread seller said, “There is nobody that would pray to live in a rented apartment for five years, and at the end of that time, not have something tangible to call his or her own. However, it is not everything one plans to do that is made public. One has to keep certain things within one as an elder. We all know where the shoe pinches.”
Olajumoke said she hadn’t become a spendthrift since she came to limelight. “I have always been a good manager. Even when I was working in the bakery, I knew how to manage the resources available to me. Can you imagine a man not working for two years and being fed by a woman?”
But contrary to Jumoke’s claim that she’s still under the same roof him, it was gathered that Olajumoke has changed her name from Orisagunna to Chris. The incident of replacing her husband’s surname with Chris sparked some speculations about the marriage. It was assumed that Olajumoke changed her name because she had separated from her husband, Sunday Orisagunna. Jumoke has promised to respond at the right time in her recent post on instagram. “Silence is golden; I’m in a good place at the right time. I’ll speak, but for now let the work speak’’
