The stage is finally set for the concluding part of the much anticipated “Celebrity Come Build” TV reality show as its first episode graced the media space on Sunday 27th June 2021.
It could be recalled that the first part of the reality show began last month as 12 African celebrities making waves in the entertainment scene were camped for 2 weeks acquiring different knowledge and skills needed to cope with the enormous tasks ahead.
The concluding part of the show is made up additional 8 weeks and would see the likes of actor, Bolanle Ninalowo; top comedian, Josh Alfred; South African musician, Naledi Boltina; popular Ghanaian actress, Akuapem Rosemund Brown; Big Brother Naija celeb, Munirat Antoinette Lecky; Mohammed Saheed, a comedian and actor popularly called as Funky Mallam; NOLLYWOOD diva, Mercy Aigbe; ace rap artist, Michael Ugochukwu Stephens aka Ruggedman; Ultimate Love Reality Show winner, Afuwape Rosemary popularly known as Rosie; highly controversial star actress, Nkechi Blessing; ace comedienne, Adeyela Adebola popularly known as Lizzy Jay or Omo Ibadan; and the United States’ based Nigerian musician, Tope Adenibuyan is widely known as “Teddy A” living together as housemates and contestants.
These celebrities would slug it out for the coveted winner’s prize. They would work in 2 teams and each would be task to build a 3-Bedroom Bungalow from scratch to completion. This would be done under the supervision of 3 top and highly vast experts in the building profession who would serve as judges as they include: Engineer Babatunde Faleye who is the Deen of Academy in ULDA Institute, Engineer Joy Shittu an interior decorator; and Builder Oresanya Adeyemi, an expert with over 20 years experience in plumbing service. They would observe and score the contestants based on standard practice required in the field.
Coming from the stable of ULDA Media, a subsidiary of fast-rising Nigerian real estate film, ULDA Co-operative Limited, the show 30-minute daily TV broadcast aimed at demystifying the building profession using top African celebrities to educate viewers on what it takes to own an apartment.
The show comes with lots of handsome prizes as take homes for both the viewers and the contestants. The contestant who emerged winner would be given a 5-Bedroom Luxury Duplex apartment in Lekki, a highbrow area in Lagos coupled with a whooping sum of 120 Million Naira in cash, the 1st Runner-up would go home with one of the 3 Bedroom flats built during the show while the other 3-Bedroom Flat apartment goes to the viewer with the highest number of votes.
