A renowned Black Nationalist, Marcus Garvey once stated, “A people without knowledge of their past history, origin and culture is like a tree without roots”
Acknowledging their history and origin, the Old Students Association of Community Grammar School Akowonjo 99 set, decided to pay a visit to their Alma mater and give back to the school.
The Old students presented 50 uniforms for students whose uniforms were no longer presentable as well as monitors for the Computer Unit of the school.
According to the Project Coordinator, Mr Corban Ifovboa, the Old Students believed this was their little way of saying thank you to the school and promised to look into other areas that will be beneficial to the students and the school alike.
The students who were moved to tears as they collected their 2-piece uniforms one after the other profoundly show their appreciation by thanking the forum which made the clothes available.
The teachers also took time to appreciate the initiative of the CGSA Class of 99’, praying that God will continue to lift their hands..below are photos from the presentation.
