A saddened Nigerian citizen stormed popular human right house in Ikeja, appealing that the Nigeria Police Force pay his elder brother’s unpaid 9 months’ salary, after a brief misconception that that have now been sorted.
The complainant, who refused to mention his name stated that The gallant police officer named Sgt. Silas Mafindy, FNo: 352184 Abbattoir Division Order,Area G Ogba, who happened to be his family has written to appeal to the police to pay the backlog of unpaid salary after it was withheld due to an issue that was investigated and he was eventually absolved and his suspension called off. Ever since he had resumed however, his backlog salary since the time he resumed has not been paid as directed by the Commissioner of Police, Lagos Commissioner
Giving reasons why he chose to come out on behalf of his brother, he claimed that Sgt Silas is reluctant to lodge a complaint due to the oath of confidentiality sworn to the force.
“My brother is not willing to talk to anyone and he’s been suffering ever since he resumed office. He has been borrowing to cater for himself and family including myself for many months and I’m tired of the whole situation. I just want to beg the Police force to help me revisit his case for God’s sake.
Speaking with the Police officer on phone, after several persuasions, the man in question reluctantly hinted a reporter, whom he thought was his brothers’ ally what really happened. He said.
“My salary was stopped last year as a result of misconception that occurred between myself and my present division which prompted my salary to be stopped. I was investigated and the issue has been resolved. The Police Commissioner has ordered that my outstanding salary be paid, but up toil this moment, I’ve not been paid.
“He however appeal to the good will of the force to come to his rescue and address the situation, to save him from the clutches of debt and bills he needs to offset
