Nigeria is a land full of promises and blessed with different great music talents at home and abroad but seems the story hasn’t changed like the rest of the countries abroad and different questions keep unfolding day in day out as regards the aftermath of many Nigerian music celebrities.
Few questions like ie why do musicians die in abject poverty? Why different record labels go into sudden extinction? Why many musicians have a difficult come back after a long break from music? Why musicians don’t have a Plan B investment plan?
These and many more are yet to get a most convincing answer.Evergreen Music Heritage Foundation is a nonprofit making organization been set up with the intent of finding a solution to many of these disturbing questions.
The foundation which is situated in Surulere, Lagos have as its primary objective a mission set out to preserve and safeguard the musical heritage of a past, present and future generation of musicians.
It is a one stop place for research and documentation of over 10,000 Nigerian musicians. Part of the Activities of the foundation has already begun with a monthly event celebrations put together to recognize posthumously few of Nigerian music legends whose memory is already fading away.
