•How Her Mum, Mama CARO Died 4 Months To Her 80th
Late Margaret Adebimpe Olaseinde popularly known as Mama Caro is the mother of Lagos society woman and Exxon Mobil Topshot, Caroline Olaseinde. The news of her death came knocking on 22nd of July 2019, 4 months before her 80 birthday.
Her befitting burial and journey to mother earth started with a wake keep service on Tuesday, 12th August while the funeral service took place at St Leo’s Catholic Church Ikeja on Wednesday, 13th August 2019.
The service was attended by all her children, close families and friends from all walks of life. The service started at exactly 10am and was led by Rev John Aniagwu joined with Rev Paul Alapini.
The deceased was cascaded in a gold encrusted casket and the funeral procession was handled Ebony Funerals led by Dehinde Harrison. The funeral rite at the interment was done by children and immediate family only. There was a reception afterwards at Harbour Points event centre where guests were entertained to light music and delicious refreshments.
The deceased is well loved by all and sundry most especially her main clique of friends and that justifies why the trooped to the burial to give their friend their last respects.
The deceased children and siblings rallied round themselves and made sure they gave their mother a befitting burial.Conspicuously present at the burial was her husband, Chief Ayo Emmanuel Olaseinde whom they have been together for many years.
He was ably supported by his children. In his tribute, he wrote how they always wonder how he will be the first to go, ”Mama Caro, I dint know, I came to Nigeria to see you before you departed this world, we were always wondering who will go first, I thought it would be me but God knows best. You were a good wife, the wife of my youth, mother and best grandmother to Tumininu and Tamilore could ever wish for.
Your friends whom you shared most of your life with have been very supportive and I regret sometimes harassing you about your social life. I believe you are resting in the Lord, Rest in Peace, I will miss you”.The deceased until her death was very bubbly and hardworking.
She is a socialite per excellence who excelled in her business during her life time. Her 80th birthday celebration was already in top gear and 4 months away when she breathes her last.Her children and her ffriends were already preparing for the big day as they know she hosts classy parties.
Her clique of friends were also big time business women calling the shots in their respective fields. Mama Caro as she is fondly called hails from the prominent and Royal Rademo ruling house of Ikorodu Kingdom. She is a staunch member of the St Joseph’s society of St Leo’s catholic church. Ikeja. She is very fashionable and very stylish in her time and no A-class event is complete without her.
Mama Caro lived a good life till she breathes her last in the presence of her daughter, Caro whom she spent the last 4 months of her life with. Caro is very close to her mother and they are like Siamese twins. She also narrated her last moments and what they shared.
In her words, ‘’I meant the world to my mum and vice versa. We were buddies. She secured everything in my place to the best of her ability. When we were blessed with Tumi and Tami, I saw a different character in my mum, she bathed them daily, fed them, played with them and made up songs for them. She did school runs for 4 years.
We enjoyed travelling together and love our row of seats on BA, British Airways will surely miss you. I couldn’t have asked for a better mother. She was simply the best and happy that i am proudly the ‘’Caro of Mama Caro’’. I am glad I was opportune to live and care with mummy for the last 4 months of her life and say her last prayer with her an awesome privilege and experience.
On that faithful morning when I noticed how weak she was and asked to go to the hospital, she quickly for her Cadbury whole nuts chocolate, her eyes spoke to me in volumes, I knew the end was nigh.
My friend, My companion, My bestie, My confident, My second in command was heading off and as I wished and prayed, It was peaceful in her sleep. Rest in peace perpetual, Mummy Love you until we meet again”.Her children are doing very well in their respective fields, From Earnest Olaseinde, micheal Olaseinde to Joseph and Caroline Olaseinde, they all gave a glowing tribute of their mum.
Mama Caro is a woman of many parts and this shown in amounts of tributes reigned on her at the burial by family and friends especially her friends. Also her children were not left out as amidst tears but joy they shared the life and times of their beloved mum who has lived a glorious and fulfilled life.
Guests turned out in their Royal blue Ankara and headgear which is the Aso ebi colour code for the ceremony. The Ankara was supplied by mrs Bisi Osuntokun of Planet Ankara. All guests looked beautiful in the Aso Ebi. There was performance from the Faith Band and they mesmerized the audience with their melodious music.
Some of Mama Caro’s friend who stood by her were Hajia Abba Folawiyo who described her as a very loyal and kind friend who was always supportive of her and her family. Mrs Ireti Asemota says she is very dear and true friend of hers, very full of live and jovial. Very fashionable and smart at it.
They enjoyed good times together and she has left a big void. Mrs Jaiye Edgal revealed that Mama Caro was very generous and kind and blessed to be called her friend of many years. Princess Yewande Onilleere says she will always be proud of her and will always be in her heart. Her other friends include chief mrs sheri Balogun, Dupe Gbadamosi, Feyishara Rowland, rev mother, Lara Mumini, mrs Omolara Fashola,
Enitan Akerele, mrs Dupe Sagoe, mrs Folake Marquis, and many others. Her sister, Tinuke and her cousin, Aremo Adeniyi Ogunsanya were also not left out.
Some of the guests at the event who came to honor Mama Caro were Barrister Shade Balogun, Nike Animashaun, Caro’s friends from holy child school, the majekodunmi twins, mrs Ogunsanwo, Duro Oshinusi, Sir K Oshinusi and many others.
