On Saturday, 25th, September 2021, Funmi Omoyajowo and her siblings hosted their friends and well-wishers at the Celestial Church of Christ Cathedral in Ikeja, Lagos.It was a short service held to thank God for the soul of their late father and grandfather, SP/V/M/S/EV Rufus Oluwatuyi Omoyajowo, who was a topshot in the CCC.
The service started with a series of prayers as directed by the Sheperd of the Great Church, thereafter series of hymns were sang in honor of the deceased.
Funmi Omoyajowo then walked in with her siblings dressed in white flowing garments as requested by the doctrine of the C.C.C Cathedral. The Omoyajowo’s then organised their guests and friends to join in the thanksgiving session to thank God for a life well spent of their father. The service ended with a sequence of prayers led by the Sheperd, asking God to protect the soul of the deceased and all he has left behind.
As the family and guests present echoed amen, all roads led to Victory Home School,Ikeja compound located on Toyin Street, Ikeja, Lagos State. The large compound had close to 10 canopies arranged accordingly to entertain guests.
DJ Jimmy stayed behind his jam box playing wild hip hop songs, as guests began to arrive. Wisekid ,who was the appointed hypeman played alongside the DJ, adding hot street vibes to the music,while hyping guests.
Funmi Omoyajowo arrived with her siblings dressed in a lemon green sequence lace material with lemon green gele to match. Funmi acknowledged the presence of Honorable Abimbola Ayo-Yusuf ,the Chief Commissioner of the Public Complaints Commission (PCC), as he walked in with his entourage.
Ola Success and his band kept on playing juju music at the other end of the compound as he sang praises of all the children left behind by late Rufus Oluwatuyi Omoyajowo.They in turn took their turn to dance with their guests. This was a befitting event that marked the life and time of Late SP/V/M/S/EV Rufus Oluwatuyi Omoyajowo,a.k.a.No Rushing (Baba Oloyinbo).
