All roads led to Ibadan on Friday 15th October, 2021 as the Secretary of Pastor Wole Oladiyun of the Christ Livingspring Apostolic Ministry (CLAM) Pastor, Funmi Ademola- Salami and siblings gave their father a befitting burial ceremony.
Their father, Deacon Ezekiel Adebayo Babatunde JP died In August, 2021at the ripe age of 82 leaving behind his darling wife, Mrs. Florence Babatunde; a handful of God-fearing children and grandchildren not leaving out members of his ever supportive family.
The entire burial ceremony was filled with remarkable moments.
Although on the previous day, Thursday 14th October, 2021,the Service of Songs and Wake Keep were held in honour of the deceased, at the popular Salem Baptist Church, Yemetu in the Aladoorin area of Ibadan.
Earlier ,on the day of the burial ceremony, there was lying-in-state at the venue of the burial service, Salem Baptist Church, Ibadan. The Burial service proper was a grand one, as it recorded quite a large number of guests, among which are church members. They all came to pay their last respect to their Deacon Babatunde.
Many of them eulogized the deceased as a man who lived a life worthy of Christ and whose impact on the church and humanity in general.
The remains of Deacon Babatunde was later taken to the Oritamefa Baptist Cementry, also known as “Garden of Saints” in the Arologun area of Ibadan.
This service was held in the presence of the widow, children and family members, the clergy from Salem Baptist church, where the late deacon worshipped until his death.
Family, friends, associates, well wishers among other friends were hosted at the Watershed Celebration Centre, venue of the reception party, located along Old Ife road, Ibadan.
It was indeed a glamorous party which saw all and sundry at the event in celebration mood. Entertaining guests was Tayo King, a musician with lots of vibes. He dazzled on the stage as the party was rocked by the children of the deceased and their guests.
