- Details Of The Classy 3-in-1 Celebration In LAGOS
Saturday 20th Oct 2018 was a remarkable day for the household of popular Lagos lawmaker, a member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Ganiyu Oladunjoye Hamzat, and his pretty wife, Alhaja Hurimat Bolatito Hamzat. On that day, their daughter Zaidat Abike Hamzat got married to the love of her life, Olusegun Micheal Dada who is the son of Mr Idowu Dada and Mrs Ifejola Esther Dada.
It was a dream come through for the couple because there is a strong bond between lovebirds. Or how do you describe a situation, whereby the groom, Olusegun Michael was seen shedding tears of Joy, if not because he had gotten the most desire of his heart, what his heart longs for. And he actually got it. Not just getting it alone, Zaidat’s beauty is out of this world. So much so that winning her heart for any man will surely be described as winning a Jackpot. Do we talk about her physiques (her beautiful stature). Zaidat is well endowed, or we talk about her character, as described by many consciously and unconsciously that she is down to heart. She loves people around her, and she’s a philanthropist just like her parent. And to crown it all, she’s from a reputable family, a royal family, the Hamzat family is one of the best and big families in Abeokuta.
The Solemnization of this love birds was witnessed by the presence of kings, politicians, honourables, celebrities and important personalities in our society today.
The Haven event centre, situated at G.R.A, Ikeja was filled to the brim on that day. One can actually without mincing words describe the royal wedding as one of its’ kind, and it can also be rated as one the best weddings in 2018.
On that same day, they had the Engagement and Nikkah. And the reception followed immediately after the Nikkah. City People’s Assistant Editor SUNDAY ADIGUN was there to serve you details of the 3 in 1 celebration.
AT THE ENGAGEMENT
The love that exists between Zaidat and Segun is a love without barriers. The lovebirds come from different religion Zaidat is a Muslim by birth, while Segun is a Christian. Yet one can never rush for anything less than to have the kind of their Union.
It is generally believed that the engagement ceremony is usually hosted by the wife’s family and must occur shortly before the proper wedding. The focus of the engagement sometimes called Traditional wedding is for the two families to meet each other, joining to become one family, and formally giving their approval and blessings to the couple.
THE TWO FAMILIES WELCOME ONE OTHER
The bride’s family, the Hamzat welcomed the groom’s family. The ceremony started at about 10 am with the bride’s side in the ceremony venue while the groom side petitioned to come in by Alaga Ijoko, led by Alaga Iduro, and when the Dada’s family is allowed to enter, they greeted the brides’ family. Then everyone settles so that each side is sitting in chairs facing each other and create an aisle that leads to the chair, where the couple will eventually sit, as decorated.
MOTHERS WAS INVITED
Lots of dancing, singing actually started with the beautiful and elegant Alhaja Hurinat Bolatito Hamzat, the amiable mother of the bride when she was invited to dance in with friends and family. The over joyous Bolatito started with the song “Ara edi de eba mi jo, eniyan mi ebami yo, Oluna mi lo gbemiga before Alaga Iduro took over from her.
THE GROOM CAME IN WITH HIS ENTOURAGE
After the dancing, singing and money exchanges hand of Alhaja Bolatito. The groom, Segun Micheal with his entourage of young men entered. After dancing and singing. They prostrated in front of the bride’s parent and asked for their blessing and prayer. Trust Alaga Ijoko, she asked them to prostrate multiple times before they win approval. Zaidat parents eventually raised Segun up, and he sits between them and hugs them. Then he goes to his parent to do the same things.
AND THE BRIDE TOO
After all the razzmatazz, the groom was asked to sit, awaiting his wife. Then the beautiful and elegant Zaidat Abike entered, veiled, with an entourage of young women, especially the cultural dance group that brightened up the event with their dance to usher in the new bride. She goes through a process similar to the groom except that she kneels instead of prostrating. Then she goes up to sit with the groom.
AND THE ENGAGEMENT LETTER WAS READ
Eniola Hamzat was invited to read the engagement letter. The little girl is Zaidats little cousin and she indeed read the letter as expected of her.
After the whole process, Alaga Iduro and Alaga Ijoko introduced themselves and the engagement was brought to a close, giving chance for the Sheik to start the Nikkah.
AT THE NIKKAH CEREMONY
Marriage is simply a state of being united to a person of the opposite sex as husband/wife in a conceptual and contractual relationship recognized by law.
Marriage is compulsory in Islam according to the view of some Muslim scholars, while it is Sunnah (Prophetic Way), according to the sayings of Prophet Muhammed (SAW) Hadith. However, it may not be compulsory or mollified due to impotency. Marriage is part of my Sunnah, and whoever does not follow my Sunnah has nothing to do with me. Get married for I will boast of your great numbers before nations” These were the words of one the Sheiks who started the programmes immediately after the engagement process.
He also laid emphasis on the purpose of marriage in Islam. “Formation of the family through which one can find security, harmony and peace of mind. The natural sexual desire is both strong and significant. So everyone should have a partner for satisfying the sexual needs in a secure and serene environment. Another purpose of marriage in Islam is Reproduction. Through marriage is procreation of mankind is continued. While husband and wife must live in peace with laid down rules, procedures already fashioned out in the Quran by Allah. The greatest gain for a man, a faithful woman, who, when she sees him becomes happy and protect his properties and her own honour in his absence.
WHAT THE PREACHER TOLD THE COUPLE
(1) Every man must marry his choice in other to have a good home. Everyman must his wife with the consent of the bride’s per cent. God has given man responsibilities and the first is to provide a home for the woman. Every man must sleep in the same room with his wife.
(2) You must feed your wife. You must spend on her according to your capability.
(3) Spend quality money on your wife when she’s pregnant and give her enough money when she is taking of the children.
(4) You must perform your duty in bed diligently.
These were the preachers’ messages to the husband. He advised the wife too, “As for the woman, you must satisfy your husband always, don’t be over jealous, don’t stress your husband to avoid hatred, every woman must keep their beauty and always look good, men always to see their woman beautify irrespective of their status. He also advised the two families on how to operate with them as a new couple.
MEET THE SHEIKS
ON GROUND
They are Imam Musoliliu Abdlmajeed, Alkhalifah Abdwahab Faruq, Onikijipa, Alkalifa Abrazaq Abdullah Onikijipa and Alhaji Habibullah Abdulateef were the Sheiks on ground that day.
The marriage certificate was presented to the couple and the ceremony was brought to a close for the reception.
AT THE RECEPTION
The way people trooped in before the conclusion of Nikkah was enormous. Lots of people were seen hanging around, as the door into the main venue was locked.
It was later opened and people trooped in en mass to celebrate with the two families especially the bride’s family. Haven Event hall has a capacity of sitting 3000 guests conveniently, the event was filled to the brim.
ARRIVAL OF THE GUESTS
The arrival of the invited guests and those that have been around for the engagement and Nikkah was very resplendent and glamorous. All the guests were at the best dressed beautifully especially in Aso-Ebi with all forms of Jewellery that makes them looks beautiful and glamorous, and its complement the design and colour of the event hall.
SENATOR YAYI CHAIRED THE EVENT
The chairman of this occasion was Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola popularly called Yayi. He dazzled in complete while Agbada.
The opening prayer was said by Alfa Mojeed after the bride’s and the groom’s parent and the family were invited in followed by the couples Grand entrance.
YAYI’S ADVISE TO COUPLE
Thanking God Almighty for the opportunity to chair an occasion like this. I congratulate the parent of the couple. Also, I want to commend the effort of the groom and his team in the just concluded Osun State election. My advise to the couple especially wife is to rediscover themselves. Always pray together, the family that prays together stays together.
ABOUT THE ROYAL FATHER OF THE DAY
The royal father of the day is the father of the bride’s father Oba Muftau Olatunji Hamzat Afowona Sogade in Ogun State, who came to the event earlier even before the commencement of the engagement.
