The Elerinmo of Erinmo Land, Oba(Dr) Michael Odunayo Ajayi Arowotawaya the second, has taken another remarkable step to put the ancient town on the verge of development.
This is coming on the heels of a multi million Naira empowerment scheme and commissioning of two modern boreholes during the Agidanyin Festival in October 2020 as well as the commissioning of a modern Ojude Oba Model Market in November 2020
It was an action directed towards ensuring that people of Erinmo enjoy steady electricity supply as being enjoyed in metropolitan cities around the world.
Oba Arowotawaya through the recently installed Yeye Gbobaniyi of the town Princess Aderonke Adelowo has procured a brand new 2021 model ABB 500KVA transformer to relief some sections of Erinmo that had been suffering in partial darkness.
It was a big shout of joy and jubilation when the multi million naira brand new transformer arrived Odo Oja area of Erinmo alongside it’s accessories.
Speaking in an interview the Elerinmo of Erinmo Land Oba(Dr) Michael Odunayo Ajayi Arowotawaya 11 said that his commitment to look after the welfare of his people and ensure that indigenes of the ancient town remain comfortable led to the project.
According to him, drawing people of repute like Yeye Gbobaniyi Princess Aderonke Adelowo was a step aimed at ensuring that Erinmo becomes the toast of investors and other towns in the state.
He noted that it was a thing of concern to him that some part of his community would be in darkness for years as result of a faulty transformer.
Oba Arowotawaya who felt relieved that the transformer is working perfectly and people enjoying electricity said that he would not relent at facilitating people,and industries that will lift Erinmo higher.
It would be recalled that the donor of the brand new transformer Princess Aderonke Adelowo was installed last year October as the Yeye Gbobaniyi of Erinmo in the presence of His Imperial Majesty Ooni of ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi .
This brand new transformer will likely be formally commissioned by His Excellency the Deputy Governor of Osun State during the iwuye ceremonies of Yeye Gbobaniyi slated for March, 2021.
