Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, has formally dumped the All Progressives Congress, APC for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
In a letter a letter he read on the floor on Tuesday, Dogara said he had defected to the party on whose platform he originally came to the House.
The House has adjourned sitting till after the general election, 19th February, 2019.
Two other APC lawmakers, Edward Pwajok (Plateau) and Ahmed Yerima (Bauchi) also announced their defection.
Their letters were also read by the Speaker.
Dogara had been hobnobbing with the PDP for long but had made his intention known on the floor of the House on Tuesday.
