PETER AMANGBO (Chairman, Board of Directors)
Peter Amangbo is the former Managing Director/CEO of Zenith Bank Plc and has over 27 years of banking experience, spanning various departments – Corporate Finance and Investment Banking, Business Development, Credit and Marketing, Treasury, Financial Control, Strategic Planning and Operations. He was also a pioneer non-Executive Director of Zenith Bank UK.
Before joining the banking industry, he was a Senior Consultant with Pricewaterhouse Coopers (PWC) where he covered assignments in financial services, manufacturing, and general commerce.
He holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Benin and an MBA from the Warwick School of Business. He is an alumnus of INSEAD, Harvard Business School and a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria.
ELIAS IGBINAKENZUA (Managing Director / CEO)
Elias is the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Globus Bank. He has been in the banking industry for over two and half decades including twelve years as an Executive Director in two tier-one banks, namely Zenith Bank Plc (8 years) and Access Bank Plc (4 years), with emphasis on Corporate, Commercial and Investment Banking.
Elias trained in Pricewaterhouse Coopers between 1989 and 1993 where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant and became a Fellow of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).
Elias holds a B.Sc degree in Accounting from the University of Benin, Nigeria and an M.Sc in Corporate Finance from University of Liverpool, UK, and an MBA from Enugu State University of Technology.
He has attended several professional development programmes in Insead Fontainebleau; IMD, Lausanne; Harvard Business School, Boston; Wharton Business School, Philadelphia.
AUGUSTINE OKERE (Non-Executive Director)
Austin Okere is the Founder of CWG Plc, the largest security in the technology sector of the Nigerian Stock Exchange, and Entrepreneur-in-Residence at CBS, New York. Austin also serves on the Advisory Board of the Global Business School Network based in Washington, and on the World Economic Forum Global Agenda Council on Innovation and Intrapreneurship.
Austin is a Non-Executive Director at Globus Bank and serves on the Board of Trustees of the Risk Management Association of Nigeria (RIMAN). Austin now runs the Ausso Leadership Academy focused on Business and Entrepreneurial Mentorship.
VINCENT OKEKE (Non-Executive Director)
Vincent holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Chemical Engineering from Enugu State University of Science & Technology (1987), Master’s degrees in Finance and Chemical Engineering from the University of Lagos (1997 and 1998 respectively), and a Doctor of Philosophy in Management from Walden University USA
He started his career in Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited in 1987 and worked in several places including Pricewaterhouse Coopers, Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria, Shell Markets Middle East, and West African Ventures/Sea Trucks Group. Vincent is a registered Engineer and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria.
OLAYIDE ABEL (Non-Executive Director)
Olayide holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Ilorin (1985). She has over seventeen (17) years banking experience working with Guaranty Trust Bank Plc (1992), UBA Plc (1998) and Intercontinental Bank Plc in 2009 where she rose to the level of General Manager, and audit experience from PriceWaterhouseCoopers (1990).
She is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and an alumnus of the Lagos Business School (LBS), IMD Lausanne, INSEAD France and Cranfield UK.
ISIOMA EZI-ASHI (Non-Executive Director)
Isioma is a seasoned entrepreneur. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (1983) and an LLB from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (1990).
He is the Founder/Chief Executive of TIE International Nigeria Limited (1985), GETTIT Nigeria Limited/KCC U.K (1995) and Sermatech Nigeria Limited, a leading engineering and business consortium.
NIXON IWEDI (Executive Director)
Nixon is the Executive Director/Executive Compliance Officer of Globus Bank. Nixon started his banking career with Guaranty Trust Bank Plc (1997) and later joined Access Bank Plc in 2002.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of Port Harcourt and MBAs from Bangor University, United Kingdom and Rivers State University of Science & Technology, Port Harcourt. He has also attended several courses on Leadership, Corporate Governance, Strategic Management, Corporate Restructuring, Portfolio and Risk Management. He is an alumnus of INSEAD France and IMD.
He is also a member of The Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) and The Chartered Banker Institute of Scotland and Wales. Before his appointment, Nixon held various senior management positions including Group Head, Global Transaction Banking (Access Bank Plc), Group Head, Large Conglomerates (Access Bank Plc) and Group Head, Commercial Banking Division, East (Access Bank Plc).
