•His Only Sister
One of the women who is very close to MFM G.O is his one and only sibling, Funmi Olowoake. She is also one of the respected women in Mountain of Fire and Miracle Ministries where she is a staunch member. She was a CAC member where her parents attend before she joined MFM. She was also part of the many activities that heralded the home calling of her mum, Janet Olukoya.
She shares a very great bond with her brother, the general Overseer, Pastor Olukoya. They were brought up in a Christian way in Ondo. She was married to Mr Olowoake before he died few years back. She is a woman who does not joke with church activities and very much involved in women programmes. She was also fully on ground at the commendation services held for her mum at the headquarter church with her children and grandchildren. She also penciled a beautiful tribute to her mum whom she described as someone who practically lived her life for her, she wrote” My mum, Mama Ondo, Iyefunmi as we used to call her.
She was an exceptional woman, I had felt so comfortable with her being around that I never imagined there will be a time I will not see her again. She was super supportive, she was caring, loving, she was what I would call my guardian angel. So protective of us and such a disciplinarian.
Mama was a no nonsense woman, she would fight for us, her children and could not stand us being cheated by others. Have I mentioned her tremendous work for God? And she laid that down as a legacy to us her children and grandchildren. As I look back now, memories bring back those beautiful and difficult moments where she always came through for me. She was a true mother to me, kindhearted, loved God so much and brought us up in a Godly way.
I could say she lived her life for me as I remember many years ago when i lost my husband, it was such a difficult time for me and my grandma passed away about the same time. She had to miss her mother’s burial so she could stay with me and give me all the support I needed. Only a very strong mother would do that for her child. I am so indebted to her in so many ways that I cannot repay her. She was the best mum ever and I am so proud to be her daughter. Although she is gone now. A rare gem is gone but her memories will linger in our hearts, her good deeds will live after her. Adieu to a woman of God. Rest in peace Iyefunmi. Sweet mother I will never forget you. Sleep well.
