The political ambience of Nigeria was sparked by the siege of Senate President, Bukola Saraki’s residence and convoy by Policemen on Tuesday.
Also, the home of the Deputy Senate President, Senator Ike Ekweremadu was barricaded by officials of the Department of State Police (DSS) and the EFCC Tuesday over corruption allegation.
While these events were unfolding, the Nigerian Police denied reports that the police is responsible for the siege at the residence of Senate President in an attempt to arrest him.
Reacting to the saga, Nigerians took to their social media platforms to air their opinion.
since its not @PoliceNG That blocked the @bukolasaraki Residence, is it vigilante men that use this @AlikoDangote Vehicles? How can they possibly be lying to our faces and senses like this? #sarakidrama #Saraki More groundnut oil to your elbow

Boss, I have come to the conclusion that the responsibility to demand accountability lies with the pple. But citizen education on this issue is zero. So until then let's enjoy this drama: Game of Thrones. Besides, the apex court cleared #Saraki of any wrong doing. #Nigeria #NASS

While it is just completely shameful what is going on at #NASS and I despise how our so called "Leaders" are making a mockery of this Nation, I have to hand it to #Saraki for pulling a Scandal-esque move on them. The man is not a political Scion for nothing. #Outwitted
