- Details Of The Reconciliation Moves By Oba AKIOLU’s White Capped Chiefs
The 10 month rift between 2 Lagos super rich friends, Oba Dosumu fondly called Akinsiku of Lagos and Oba Ademola Saheed Elegushi is now a thing of the past as these 2 close friends have buried their hatchets. If you are familiar with Lagos social circle, you will notice that for the past 10 months, King Gushi as he is fondly called and his childhood friend, Oba Dosumu didn’t see eye-to-eye.
The celebrated friends who used to be very close right from their childhood parted ways when some mischief makers fed both friends with bad comments about one another. They were said to have been fed with so much hearsays that their once rosy relationship was put asunder while efforts by their common friends to settle the fight didn`t yield any result.
Those who are familiar with the Lagos socio- landscape can attest to the fact that Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi and the Akinsiku of Lagos, Chief Lekan Dosunmu who used to attend parties together were spotted at many Lagos parties, separately, while they avoided each other like sworn enemies.
The fight became public knowledge when on May 4th, 2018 Oba Dosumu buried his father and Oba Elegushi was conspicuously absent at the Queens Park, Victoria Island, Lagos, venue of the grand reception. His absence at the party was obvious and was noticed by all. This fuelled the speculation about their fight. But they refused to open up on the reasons for this war while they kept giving each other cold shoulders for many months.
Few months ago, they were both sighted at the Ilorin billionaire, Alhaji Umar Saro’s son’s wedding, separately, as Oba Ademola ELegushi came to the event with his wife, Olori Aramide Elegushi, while Oba Dosumu came with his big brother turned friend, Prince Segun Oniru, Hakeem Muri Okunola and others.
While Oba Elegushi sat at the right hand side with his wife, his friend Oba Dosumu was on the left hand side with his cliques of friends.
They were also sighted separately at Lagos King of Boys, Otunba Dapo Alli Balogun’s son’s wedding at the Haven separately enjoying the party with their inner caucus. Many who taught the rift would be brought to an end at the party because of how close Fuji King, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshall, Kwam 1 is to the duo were shocked when all efforts by Kwam 1 to make them settle their differences was to no avail.
The Fuji living legend, Kwam 1 didn’t only sing many songs to pacify these friends, he sang their praises interchangeable saying they should settle their rift and never allow enemies triumph over them. The king who made all efforts to settle the rift had to go back to business of the day as the 2 friends enjoyed the parties separately.
However, the cold war was finally brought to an end few weeks ago in the month of September when one of Oba of Lagos white caps chiefs, Chief Opemoluwa of Lagos, Aremo Segun Oniru, Chief Kosoko called a peace meeting at a location away from the palace and both parties were told to bury the hatchet and let peace reign. The Opemoluwa of Lagos begged both parties to put the devil and his cohorts to shame by embracing peace.
It was right there that they both embraced each other while Oba Ademola Elegushi invited his friend, Akinsiku of Lagos to his party which took place at Ruby event centre which Oba Dosumu attended.
Few weeks ago, Oba Ademola Eleghushi’s wife, Olori Sekinat Aramide lost his Mother, Alhaja Ipaye-Oshodi at age 62 and an 8th day Fidau was held in her honour at the spacious Rubby Event centre. Ofcourse, his friend, Oba Dosumu was also in attendance to pay condolence visit to the Elegushis on their loss. Oba Ademola who was full of smiles seeing his aged friend at the event embraced each other as they both finally ended their 10 months old rift.
