As the voting period in Fuji music star, King (Dr.) Saheed Osupa headlined Fuji music talent hunt show tagged: Oba Orin Music Challenge ends, one female and five males have emerged as the six finalists who are qualified to go into the grand finally that would be holding in Abeokuta on March 14th, 2021.
According to the head honcho at Agodo Asa, a Media Contents Providing Platform who are the main organisers of the talent hunt show, Segun Lasile, the six finalists are the representatives of the six states of the South-West viz: Ogun, Lagos, Oyo, Osun, Ondo and Ekiti, who polled the highest votes based on the state by state voting system that was adopted by the organisers to have one contestant from each of the Yoruba states where Fuji music is sung.
It would be recalled that the talent hunt show aimed at discovering new Fuji music stars outside the well-established ones that had been known for years which started a couple of months back, had many contestants coming up from all the South-Western states who were later pruned down to three contestants per state after auditions in all the six states. And the qualified contestants, three from each state, and 18 from the six South-Western States were camped in Abeokuta for one week to record their performances that were later televised on Ogun State Television for viewers to vote for their favourite contestants.
And after weeks of voting by viewers who watched the recorded performances of the contestants during which Saheed Osupa himself was on hand to tutored them on the nitty-gritty of Fuji music before being televised later on DSTV, GOTV, Startimes and terrestrial channels of OGTV, six contestants, one each representing the six states of the South-West thereafter emerged a couple of days ago.
And the six finalists are Omo Daddy, a female Fuji music singer from Ekiti State who had the highest votes with 656 from that state, C-Caution from Lagos State who polled 858 votes, Kaabah from Ogun State who polled 3080 votes, Antenna from Ondo State who polled 107 votes, Elevator from Oyo State who polled 116 votes, and Alani Olorin from Osun State who polled 242 votes.
The six finalists are the ones to represent their respective states at the Grand Finale which is billed to hold on March 14th at an event centre in Ogun State where the contestant to emerge first would prove himself to the live audience, and first and second runners up too would follow suit.
The winner would win a brand new car with one-year fuelling and a recording deal which would see him or her doing a collaborative album with Saheed Osupa, and 1st runner up will go home with One Million Naira (#1,000000,000.00) and second runner up will go home with Five Hundred Thousand Naira (#500,000.00).
