Barely two days after the controversial man of God and the founder of the Synagogue Church Of All Nations (SCOAN), Pastor TB Joshua passed on, the founder of the popular Household of God, Rev Chris Okotie went online to drop a bombshell. While other men of God in the religious fold were sending condolences to the family and the church of the late Pastor, Rev Chris seized the moment to mock the dead.
Rev Chris shared a cryptic post wherein he referenced a certain “Wizard of Endor” who assumed the title of “Emmanuel.”
Although Rev Okotie did not mention any name or person in particular in his message, it has been inferred on social media that the “wizard of Endor who assumed the title Emmanuel” was a reference to the late TB Joshua and his church’s slogan-Emmanuel.
Rev Okotie’s statement comes three days after the founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, Prophet Temitope Joshua, popularly called TB Joshua, passed on. He wrote on his Instagram handle:
Hebrews 1:13… Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies your footstool (Hupopodion/Greek)
The wizard at Endor who assumed the title Emmanuel, has been consumed by divine indignation. And now his disciples bewail his ignominious exit.”
“No marvel, one third of God’s angels followed the disgraced anointed cherub Lucifer!!”
“Jehovah-Jesus our mighty gladiator has broken the head of the dragon with his mighty blows. He has descended from the mountain of spices with the fiery sword of his indignation. Glorious in his apparel and traveling in the greatness of his strength, he goes conquering and to conquer the adversaries of his church.”
“Let those who swear by the Lord and by Malcham and the descendants of Haman, now tremble in fear. The day of the vengeance of our God has fully come to Nigeria. And they shall not escape. Operation Hupopodion (footstool) has commenced.
More Power To You !!!
Rev Chris Okotie
This statement was received with backlash as Instagram users didn’t hold anything back to attack Rev Chris.
Rev. Okotie has been a long-standing critic of his late colleague and once described the late prophet as the “vicar of the devil on earth.” The beef has tarried for as long as 20 years when Rev Chris wrote the book, “The Last Outcast”.
On the heels of its launching, Rev Chris literally threw undermining darts at the persons and ministries of some Nigerian men of God, the messy fight eventually involved Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, whom he accused of going to the “devil to acquire power”. The devil in this case is alleged to be the late TB Joshua.
Pastor Chris Okotie made a number of public comments to Nigerian newspapers and other media sources expressing displeasure that the respected Pastor Chris Oyakilhome started fraternising with TB Joshua.
In one of his media comments, Okotie alleged that T.B. Joshua was a practitioner of an occult science called Docetic Gnosticism and Cerinthian heresy. Docetic Gnosticism, according to Wikipedia was an ancient Greek spiritual belief system during A.D. 70 through A.D. 100.This particular group asserted that Jesus Christ did not rise physically from the grave as foretold by the Old Testament prophets, eye-witnessed by the apostles and recorded in scripture.
Pastor Chris, in the bid to wash his hands clean off the messy allegation, went on TV to clear the air and disclaim Rev Chris and his vested beliefs and impression about him (Oyakhilome) and his ministry.
Okotie has also ascribed the acclaimed healing power of TB Joshua to the practice of an ancient Asian yoga-like sorcery called Shamanism, a practice, according to Wikipeadia, that involves a practitioner reaching altered states of consciousness in order to encounter and interact with the spirit world and channel these transcendental energies into this world. A shaman is a person regarded as having access to, and influence in, the world of benevolent and malevolent spirits, who typically enters into a trance state during a ritual, and practices divination and healing.
Chris Okotie, went further to call Joshua’s organization an anti-Christ cult. “Joshua has a mandate to take over the spiritual leadership of Nigeria,” Okotie told “The New Treasure,” a weekly Nigerian newspaper.
In 2017, Rev. Okotie described him as an impostor and accused him of “shamanist practices” and alleged that his miracles were fake.
No doubt, Rev Okotie has also been outspoken about his thoughts on his late colleague and has never minced words when it comes to matters that pertain to late T.B Joshua.
He once infamously said that Mr Joshua “is in partnership with Satan to subjugate the church to the will of the devil”.
In his latest statement, Rev. Okotie noted that the day of God’s vengeance has fully come to Nigeria though it wasn’t clear who he was directly referencing in his post.
However, there were indications that Chris Okotie was angry seeing that Oyakhilome has established relationship with the SCOAN founder.
Rev. Chris and Pastor Chris share the same street and same fence along Billings Way and Oregun. their crowd and congregations move together every Sunday, and weekdays for weekly service but they have maintained a cordial distance in their dealings.
