Upon the arrival of the Agency at the incident scene, it was observed that a tanker with no registration number conveying 33,000 Litres of PMS had fallen on its side and spilled some of its contents on to the road and drainage channels along that corridor.
Investigations revealed that the cause of the incident was due to the bad condition of the tanker body frame (chassis).
Fortunately, there was no loss of life nor injuries were recorded at the scene of the incident.
Agency Officials, POLICE OFFICIAlS, LASTMA , Lagos State Fire Service, NSCDC, LNSC and NUPENG were joint responders present at the scene of the incident
Transloading of the remaining contents of the tanker was done by NUPENG officials while the spilled content was copiously blanketed by Lagos State Fire Service to avoid ignition and explosion.
The road now been open for free flow of movements.
Operation concluded and responders have returned to base.
