Suspected suicide bombers have struck in the Muna area of Maiduguri, capital of Borno state.
A source disclosed to TheCable, saying the incident happened around 2:50 pmĀ on Wednesday.
Details of the attack are still sketchy but officials of the Borno state emergency management agency (SEMA) and security agencies have reportedly moved to the scene.
This is coming 24 hours after President MuhammaduĀ Buhari presided over a security meetingĀ where he ordered service chiefs to tackle security threats in the northeast and other parts of the country.
In a nationwide address on Monday, Buhari had said his government would āreinforce and reinvigorate the fight against elements of Boko Haram which are attempting a new series of attacks on soft targets ā.
The sect carried out a series of attacks during the presidentās 103-day medical vacation in the United Kingdom.
