Everyone calls him Duncan Mighty but his real name is Duncan Wene Mighty Okechukwuis. He’s a Nigerian musician, singer, and music producer from Obio-Akpor, Rivers State. Though his musical style demonstrates a high-level of genre versatility, it is also heavily influenced by the sounds and culture of his people as most of his songs are sung in his native Ikwerre dialect of Igbo language. He has since been away from the music scene but came back with a collaboration with Wizkid which happened to be a hit with other hits collaborations with Davido and Tiwa Savage, He recently had a chat with City People Entertainment Reporter, PRECIOUS POMAA, in this chat he talked about how his collaborations made him bounce back.
You have been so hotlately from one collaborations to another, what’s the secret ?
Its only GOD, Jesus we glorify
So what would you sayinspired all the collaborations that turn hits ?
Just good music, starting from Fake Love. Starboy is a versatile artiste. We just vibed to the sound and we came up with a hit and all glory to God and that’s all
How have you been ableto cope with the fame that came back after your long silence ?
Like I said before, no man makes himself great . I want to use this medium to thank my fans, media, and every music lovers for supporting my music. Expect more hits and vibe that is coming up.
What should we expectnext from you ?
We keep moving up and I pray for same for every one. You know music is taking over, so we just need love to keep taking over and we need to be more creative. So you guys should expect more l work from me.
How true is thestatement Wizkid made about his begging you for fake love ?
Laugh…leave Star Boy mehn. I think he’s just joking; his only trying to take away some kind of things people said that I never cared about because we are like brothers not just colleagues in the industry and trust me, Starboy is beyond region. He’s a true servant of God. He never wants to eat any man’s glory. He likes to make every man important. He is that brother that you need. So when he said that in public I was surprised because I think that is something that shouldn’t be said in public and I asked him why would you do such and he was like baba I don’t like what they are saying; I just need to make it clear to them. Well I really don’t care. We made a hit and that’s all I care about.
If you were not doingmusic what else would you love to do ?
Aside music I own a construction company , which by the grace of God I have created a lot of employment in the South South and I am a civil engineer. It is really not easy to go into infrastructural development especially when you are a super star but its all about passion and what you like to do. So I decided to reinvest my money back to infrastructural development. It doesn’t have to be only politicians that are doing that to create employment.
Would you say this is part of the reason you stayed away from music for a while?
Yeah. I paused after I released Portharcourt Boys and I went back to Switzerland to complete my studies. I give God the glory that I am alive, sound and my fans are happy. I return all the glory to God Almighty.

Yeah. Good music is coming soon. Please don’t ask how soon.
