Many outstanding movie producers always seize this opportunity to come up with lovely, cinema standard movies, working day and night, not to disappoint their fans all over the world.

The race in the entertainment industry has begun.

3 blockbuster movies from outstanding movie producers are about to hit the cinema this Dec. Many of these outstanding producers already have their fans, who always look out for blockbuster movies from the stable of their favorite actors/producers.

Star actresses, Funke Akindele & Toyin Abraham Rahman are already known for this. The 2 actresses always compete every year but this year 2023, star actress, Mercy Aigbe has also joined the race and she’s not slowing down in promoting the movie.

Star actress and filmmaker, Funke Akindele is coming with a new movie titled “A Tribe Called Judah” and it will be premiered at cinemas nationwide on December 15, 2023.

A tribe Called Judah stars five chaotic brothers, Emeka Judah (Kene Achufusi), Pere Judah (Timini Egbuson), Adamu Judah (Uzee Usman), Shina Judah (Tobi Makinde), Ejiro Judah (Olumide Oworu), who must come together to embark on a heist as a means of saving their sick mother, Jedidah Judah (Funke Akindele). Can the brothers work together to pull off the heist, or are the sacrifices too much to pay for a life?

Other members of the cast are Ebele Okaro, Uzor Arukwe, Nse Ikpe Etim, Genoveva Umeh, Faithia Williams, Nosa Rex, Greg Ojefua, Ibrahim Yekini, Boma Akpore, Paschaline Ijeoma Alex, Etinosa Idemudia, Juliana Olayode and Yvonne Jegede.

Co-directed by Adeoluwa Owu (aka Captain Degzy), with Barny Emordu as Director of Photography, A Tribe Called Judah is the second production to premiere under Akindele’s recently launched Funke Akindele Network Company, which covers all dealings regarding film productions.

Pretty actress and producer Toyin Abraham Ajeyemi is coming out with “Malaika.” The film is set to debut in cinemas on December 22, 2023, and is directed by Steve Olufemi Sodiya.

In the trailer she recently released, Toyin’s character is seen struggling to cope with her infertility and anger issues. She is surrounded by a supportive group of friends and family, but she ultimately has to embark on a spiritual journey to find healing.

The trailer shows Abraham Ajeyemi starring alongside a star-studded cast, including Ugandan entertainer and comedian Anne Kansiime; Emeka Ike; Odunlade Adekola; Adebayo Ridwan Abidemi (Isbae U); Uzor Arukwe; Oderhohwo Joseph “Carter” Efe; Ibrahim Chatta; Pelumi Olawuni (Abike Shugaa); and veteran actress, Taiwo Ajai-Lycett.

Nollywood super actress, Mercy Aigbe, is coming out with ‘Ada Omo Daddy’ and it’s will be premiered on December 15, 2023, and it’s directed by Akay Mason Ilozohbie and Adebayo Tijani.

Mercy Aigbe, who is also a movie director, said the movie’s themes preach love, unity and reconciliation, adding that it douses ethnic divisions

Speaking during the film’s preview at Genesis Cinema in Maryland, Lagos, she said Ada Omo Daddy would drive critical conversations when released, noting that her choice of actors and actresses for the movie is to knit the old Nollywood with the new Nollywood.

She said: “In recent times, especially during the elections, we had issues that are not really blown but there were undertones, like ethnic divisions between the Yoruba and Igbo. That isn’t good for us because I believe in one Nigeria.

“This film aims to unify the Igbo and Yoruba culture. It is to tell us that regardless of our differences or the diversities, we are one, we should love one another and celebrate one another. It is also to tell us that we might have issues, but we should forgive one another and move on. It is a big project film, a large-scale film.”

On the cast, Aigbe said: “The film marries the old Nollywood and the new Nollywood. In the movie, we have Charles Okafor’s comeback into the mainstream Nollywood. He has been off the scene for a while.

“There is Chiwetalu Agu and icons like Sola Sobowale. There are also youngies like Tomi Ojo, Taiwo Peters and Phyna. And if there is anything like middle Nollywood, we have Mercy Aigbe, Adeniyi Johnson, Omowunmi Dada, who played Ada. It is a mix of old, new and medium Nollywood. It is a beautiful film.

“If you see Omowunmi and Charles Okafor, you will see some sort of resemblance. More so, they are fantastic actors. I knew that they would kill their roles, which they did. Everybody brought their A-game and did awesome.”

On his part, the movie’s Co-Executive Producer, Kazim Adeoti, said: “This is a large scale project. Even though I have had about 15-year experience in the industry, what I learnt from the set was different. You won’t be disappointed. It is a movie from which you would learn a lot because it is educational with a lot of take homes.”
