The Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria, Lagos State Chapter is currently tense, as the association tries to elect a successor to the outgoing Chairman, Dr Bamidele Onalaja.
This will not be an easy election, as various aspirants have shown interest to become the next REDAN Chairman, Lagos Chapter.
Don’t forget that, Dr. Onalaja is the first Chairman in Lagos and his tenure will expire next month, and date has been fixed in the coming month to elect a new Chairman.
Currently, there are about 3 aspirants who have come out to show interest.
One of them is Mr. Segun David Oshundairo, CEO, Arc-View Investments Limited. He has been with REDAN for many years and has deep knowledge about the real estate sector. He founded his real estate company about 13 years ago and he has done a lot of projects in Lagos and beyond.
He is a man of many trades. He was born on the 30th of March, 1980 in Mushin, Lagos to the family of Mr and Mrs Oshundairo, who hailed originally from Ogun State. A man of humble beginnings, Mr. Oshundairo started his Primary School Education at Methodist Primary School, Mushin, Lagos, where he graduated with a Primary School Leaving Certificate. His academic pursuit continued at Isolo Comprehensive High School, Isolo, Lagos where he obtained his West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) certificate. He then proceeded to the University of Ado-Ekiti, known today as Ekiti State University (EKSU), Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, for his Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy. Philosophy is a discipline saddled with the continuous search for knowledge, and this discipline has imprinted its footprint on Mr. Oshundairo’s life and career.
Understanding the importance of home building in all its literal sense, Mr. Oshundairo, would go on to establish Arc-View Investments Limited, a real estate firm based in Lagos and has built over a thousand housing units all over Lagos and its environs and still counting. This is one of the businesses of the enterprising Mr Oshundairo, as his business interests cut across various sectors of the economy. He is the Founder/CEO of Segosh Hotel & Suites, a hospitality facility; De-Segosh Investments Limited which is an investment company that specialises in investing in dysfunctional businesses and bringing them back to life. His impact is also known in the Oil and Gas industry with his firm Segosh Oil & Gas actively involved in the haulage of petroleum products across the country.
Oshundairo, being a product of sound education, both within and outside the corners of a classroom, understands the importance of formal education to the mind and nation-building, and is zealous towards seeing an educated society. He is the founder of Dosh Secondary School, as well as the founder and Chairman of the governing council of Eko College of Management and Technology, Ikotun, Lagos, a tertiary institution approved by the Federal Ministry of Education.
A resourceful man, he is a member of the Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria where he got a professional diploma in Building Technology. He also has professional certifications in real estate development and strategic leadership. Mr Oshundairo is happily married and is the proud father of four (4) children.
Another candidate is also campaign vigorously is Tony Aspire Kolawole, a seasoned and highly recognised real estate entrepreneur with key interests in real estate marketing, commercial real estate, real estate advisory and strategy as well as property development and investment. He is deeply skilled in small business strategy, sales and negotiations and digital strategy for business.
Over the years, ‘Aspire’ as he is fondly called by friends, clients and followers, has built for himself a very strong credibility in the real estate industry in Nigeria where he has served clients both at the home front and diaspora which has led him to setting a new corporate standard for other real estate entrepreneurs.
Through his efforts to shaping the industry through an excellent customer service, strong value offering and accountability, he has garnered key industry awards such as Revolution Plus Property Development Ltd CEO’s Award for 2016, Pioneer of the year 2016 by Chrisdom Homes Ltd, EALA Award 2017 for his role in Economic Advancement through Real Estate and Tope Babade and Co. Award for his contribution to the empowerment of youth through Real Estate.
He currently champions a fast-rising real estate company called Aspire Heights Realtors Limited situated in the heart of Lekki in Lagos, a company committed to delivering the best of properties anywhere in Nigeria with a strategic focus on areas with great economic potential both at a residential and commercial level.
Aspire’s educational background cut across the Lagos State University where he holds a Bachelor’s of Science Degree and other key institutions. Tony is an Alumnus of Impact Business School. He is also an alumnus of Daystar Leadership Academy (DLA), Lagos, RISE Business Network and School of Productivity.
Prior to starting his real estate firm, Aspire Heights Realtors Limited, he successfully ran Aspire Talknet Nigeria Limited – a telecom firm that partners with major telecom companies such as 9mobile and Airtel to deliver sim swap solutions.
The third candidate is Olusegun Taiwo Phillibs, MD/CEO, Sabreworks Real Estate Investment Ltd.
He had worked as Retail & Investment banker at various banks including Skye, FCMB, Ecobank and Sterling Bank, gathering 12 yrs experience, raising to BM Status, Deputy Mgr.
He has also Worked in Various capacities under the Palton Morgan Group, ranging from Head, Sales & Marketing, Propertymart, Head,Sales, Grenadines Homes, Abuja, Director, Mitcherutti Contractors. Currently founding MD of Sabre Works Services, a real estate investment and financial services company.
