•The Story Of Their Double Birthday Celebration In LAGOS
+What Their Children Said About Them
Bashorun Fatai Idowu & Rev. Mrs. Victoria Omowunmi Arobieke are a lovely couple very many people respect a lot in Lagos. This was shown in the huge turnout on Thursday, 23rd December 2021 when both of them had a joint birthday celebration in Lagos. The man many called Aro celebrated @ 75, while Vicky celebrated her 70th.
That was how their children planned it, as a gift to their parents.
The day started with a Praise & Worship session at their Lekki Phase 1, Lagos home. It was a beautiful Thanksgiving Service, followed by a reception at HAVILAH Events Center at the Oniru area of Victoria Island.
Prince (Dr) Dapo Abiodun, the Governor of Ogun State described Bashorun as a self-made man that has broken many grounds. Bashorun was once a Permanent Secretary in Lagos State and a further testimonial to his outstanding leadership skills and rich experience was his appointment as the Chairman, Caretaker Committee at Somolu Local Government in Lagos State and became the best Chairman two times, 1994 and 1995. He also commended Rev. (Mrs.) Victoria Arobieke for giving Bashorun and the family the much needed & God-ordained support.
It was the children & grand children who put it together. Below are details of how they see their dad and mum at 75 and 70.
A heartfelt and uniquely special happy birthday to you Mum and Dad.
Today is a special day and I’m grateful to God for the opportunity to celebrate your 70th and 75th birthday with you.
As your first child, you showered me with so much love and affection.
Most importantly you ensured that I never lacked anything, both materially and emotionally. You always wanted the best for me as a young man and your care and affection continues to this day and is extended to my children. No matter the wave that comes my way I know that I will always have you by my side.
“Always believe in God” and “the sky is the limit”, are words I learned from you and have come to hold on to, whenever the going gets tough. Thank you for giving me a good footing in life.
The love you have shown me is great, so great that I will forever aim to show the same love to my children. All I am and hope to be is all shaped by your good guidance. I am forever indebted to you both, as your words and virtues will always be part of the deeper voice in me, giving me the guidance I need.
Since I became a parent, I now know what it means to be one. Looking back at my life I can see clearly all the sacrifices you had to make to give me a good life. I am so grateful and may you live long.
I know I may have taken so many things for granted and enjoyed things that my aburos may not have enjoyed, but I have never taken your love for granted. I wish to thank both of you for your unconditional love and support for me whilst growing up and even as an adult, despite all my imperfections.
Also, thank you for all that you have done and in many respects continue to do, for my siblings and for your grandchildren. My prayer is that you will both grow old in good health, to see, enjoy and positively impact the lives of many more grandchildren and your great grandchildren in Jesus’ name. Amen.
My entire family sends their love and best wishes to the best grandpa and grandma in the world.
Happy birthday once again, We love you.
Your son,
Olufemi
Happy birthday dearest Mum & Dad.
With great pride and a heart filled with so much gratitude to God, I celebrate my father and mother’s respective 75th and 70th birthdays.
I thank Almighty God for the grace to witness & celebrate both of you today.
Ope oloore, adaadatan ni. Without a doubt the two of you are gifts from God & have positively impacted my life, for that, I am eternally grateful & forever indebted to you. You will never be able to fully appreciate how much my life has been empowered by your love, I feel blessed to call you my parents.
I must recognize with appreciation, your unending sacrifices not only for me but extended to my children, Anaya and Sam. You’ve been a pillar of support and strength for us and we are tremendously blessed to have you in our corner.
Those who know me well will know that my deep admiration of my father knows no bounds. I grew up cocooned in your love, comforted by your words, motivated and inspired by your legacy. You have always striven to give me the best and have been the impetus I have ever needed to succeed. I will always defer to you as a guide and a helper as I plan my own life and that of my children. In the end, I hope I can make you proud.
More importantly, I pray that as you have touched so many peoples’ lives with your generosity and thoughtfulness, within the family, amongst your friends, in the Odogbolu community in Ogun State and the larger community, our generation and generations to come will never forget your hard work and sacrifices and will continue to honour you & your legacy. Dad, because of you I carry the name AROBIEKE with pride.
Similarly, my dear mother; you’re a pure inspiration to me, my very own angel on earth. You’re a jewel of inestimable value; if I can be half the woman you are, I will be grateful to God, because your selfless nature and unconditional love to everyone around you is worthy of emulation, something I often envy about you. You’re a mother to everyone, a cheerful giver and it is therefore not surprising that some would say that you can give the clothes on your back, even to your own detriment. I therefore thank God that, as you are traversing this earth, your faith and love have never and will never be tested.
“Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.” Proverbs 31:31. You’re THE MOTHER OF THE AROBIEKE DYNASTY; you’ve invested your life in securing the prosperity of our family name, for this and more we honor & appreciate you ma.
My prayer is that God in His infinite mercy will continue to grant the two of you longer lives, in good health, to enjoy the fruits of your labour of love. So, Mum and Dad, it’s your season of thanksgiving, May the best of life begin for the two of you today.
Endless love.
Olusola
Iya Mii! Abiyamo Tooto!! Abiyamo Pataki!!! My Mother of Inestimable Value!!! My Precious Jewel!!!!
The One I can always count on after God. Today I celebrate you and reflect upon the unquantifiable care, love, dedication, passion and unending support you always extend at all times to me, my Wife, my children and the family.
Thank you mother for devoting your strength, time and resources to our family and also for ensuring all of us your children never lacked.
Out of little, you always gave a lot. I still see that in you. You are a philanthropist. On my recent visit to you in London, I was amazed at how many people you touched their lives either through your time or financial aid. I then understood why you never lacked and will never do because you have understood the fundamental law of giving and receiving.
From a young age, you instilled in me the values of good character and integrity. They say children learn by what they see and from a very young age I saw these values in you and these values still serve me till date. Come rain or sunshine, you are the one person I can always count on, always in my corner not condemning me but always there-with a listening ear and ready to advise and guide me .
Your faith is one of the strongest things you hold dear and don’t compromise on. You thought us to pray, worship and believe in God and that through God all things are possible. I thank you for this insight, it has had a massive influence in my life.
Thank you for Loving and showing true Love to my Wife. That alone gives me peace of mind. I cherish the bond and grandma relationship between you and my children. Thank you for giving me unlimited trust and freedom to make my own mistakes and learn from it.
My prayer today is that God bless you with long life with God’s peace, joy, favour, happiness, good health, good success and grace to impact more lives. You are an exceptional mother and I am so grateful to God for you.
Happy 70th birthday Mum.
Your Son,
Olusegun

You’ve been such an Awesome and Amazing Dad. I’m always grateful
to God for every moment that we spend together. I Love you so dearly Dad. Thank you so much for always being there for me. May the Lord God continue to bless you and keep you.

Olubukunola
I’ve been thinking for some time how to put in words the love that I have for my mother.
Mama, you may not realise this, but you are my driving force to achieve and be successful just so I can bless you and see that smile on your face when I surprise you with gifts. I have watched you sacrifice for your children and grandchildren so they can have the best life possible. Your love is displayed in so many ways from your excessive feeding, PRAYERS, phone calls, time, money and endless support.
When people ask me about you, I always tell them that I couldn’t ask for a more supportive mother. If I told you I wanted to sell sand in the desert you would be there with me every step of the way just to make me happy!
I pray the Lord increases you and continues to bless you. I pray His face continues to shine upon you. His grace and favour will be abundant in every aspect of your life. You will never lack or want anything for the Lord will provide all your needs IJN.
Thank you for introducing me to God and ensuring I have a relationship with Him, this is the single greatest gift from you yet.
Thank you for being my mother and loving me unconditionally.
And to my father who has graciously sacrificed so his children could have better opportunities and a lasting legacy. I appreciate your love and support. May this day bring a new chapter for our family.
Love.
Dayo
Hurray! Happy birthday mummy, this is indeed the day the Lord has made, and we are glad and are rejoicing as you mark another milestone in the journey of life.
It is heartbreaking that we are not there to celebrate this day with you in-person, however be rest assured we are celebrating with you not just today, but in your journey and what the Lord will do in your life.
This is another opportunity for me to once again say thank you for your contributions to my life over the years. You have been a mother to not just me but the entire Arobieke family, without a doubt that is not an easy responsibility but you have done this with grace and favor.
Your love for God and devotion to the gospel is something I am most proud of, you have lived an exemplary life for us to follow and to aspire to. You indeed dwell in the house of the Lord, and will continually abide under the shadow of the Almighty, the Lord will be your refuge and fortress all the days of your life.
Happy birthday mummy, we love you,
Wole Arobieke & Family

I believe in this past years you may have seen sadness and tough times but you have found the inner strength to rise above them. I may have not been able to journey with you for my entire life, you are a caring mother. Thank you for blessings. As not everyone is blessed to have a caring, loving mom. I wish you all the best on your special day and every day after, but just know that today and every day, I appreciate

Happy birthday to an incredible, wonderful, unbelievable, amazing, awesome, marvelous and, of course, handsome, father. Dad you’re the greatest. It’s not just because you’re there for me through good times and bad. It’s also because you make the bad times good with your amazing love and support.
Happy 75th birthday!
Seyi Arobieke
To my beloved mom … Honestly, you are a blessing from above, step mothers are usually villains of fairy tales-wicked, insecure and greedy, but to me, you’re the positive side of these attitudes. You’re a generous, loving and God fearing woman.
You’ve always shown what a great mother you are, I see you always willing to give, share and sacrifice for your children. Every time I see you I always leave with more goodies than I came with and those are one of the things I’ll always remember you for. I’m wishing you more wisdom, wealth, health and happiness all the days of your life. Have a blast on your birthday I’m always happy to celebrate you dad, I could not have wished for a better friend, companion, and father. Thank you for being you dad. You have always shown me you care and have supported me like a pillar through everything.
I always thought fathers were only needed by kids, but even in my adult life, you are still here with me. How blessed I am to have you. So many life principles I have learned from you, Some I understand now, some I know I will understand when the time comes. Thank you for imparting your wisdom to me. I want to continue sharing this and many more birthdays by your side because no matter how much I grow. I will always be your little girl. I love you, happy birthday dad.
Love.
Tosin Arobieke
