First on this list is the wedding of President Buhari’s daughter in law, Zahra.. The bride got married in a Presidential / Royal wedding in August. Thursday and Friday, 19th and 20th of August will not be forgotten in a hurry in the minds of many who attended the showstopping wedding of the President Buhari’s only son, Yusuf to Northern monarch, Emir of Bichi, Alhaji Nasir Ado Bayero’s daughter, Zahra. The high class traditional engagement known as Kamu in Hausa and classy reception witnessed who is who from the political class, the academia, the business class as well as associates of the President and the Emir.The Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Bayero who is the elder brother of the bride’s father also played a huge role at the wedding. Many important personalities all shut down their schedules to attend the presidential royal wedding.Many would have thought the wedding of the President’s son would attract all the paraphernalia of the society and that was what really played out. The wedding which was although classy in all ramifications saw the entourage of many bigwigs in the political class who stormed Kano, home of the Bayeros. The ceremony started with Kamu, followed by pre-wedding dinner, then wedding Fathia and presidential dinner.. Zahra is a graduate of architecture from Brighton University in the UK. Yusuf Buhari currently holds the title, The Talban Daura which is a top traditional position in Daura Emirate of Katsina State. Olamidun Majekodunmi also tied the knot with her heartrob, the speaker of Osayi State, Adebo Ogundoyin few weeks back. It was a party which was attended by many political bigwigs from all walks of life. Oluwakemi Owolabi was another pretty bride of 2021. She got married in a colourful wedding to Ex Gov Ayo Fayise son, Funsho. The wedding party was at the monarchs event centre. Adedoyin Tejuoso also got married in style.
