Mrs. Ify Fajemisin is one of the accomplished women who will honoured at the forthcoming Citypeople Female Achievers Awards.
She is a woman of many parts.
She was born some 50 years ago at the Lagos Island Maternity hospital to Mr. Alex Omuni and Mrs. Veronica Omuni both of blessed memory. Her father was a senior Police officer and her mother was a successful business woman from whom she inherited her entrepreneurial skills at an early age. She was the second girl in a family of three girls.
Her father as a senior police officer was transferred to various states in the course of his duty and that resulted in the young Ify having her education in various institutions across the country.
She had her primary education at St. Mary’s Primary School Ibadan and proceeded to Holy Trinity grammar school also in Ibadan for her secondary education. She later proceeded to Delta State University for her tertiary education after obtaining a Higher National Diploma at the college of Education in Warri.
At the college of Education, the young restless and irrepressible Ify contested in the college beauty pageant and won the keenly contested and much coveted MOST BEAUTIFUL GIRL ON CAMPUS in the year 1991.
The following year she contested for the Delta state beauty pageant and won and became the first MISS DELTA STATE when Delta state was first created and was crowned by no less a person than the wife and first lady of Delta state then in 1992.
She was on her way to Lagos to contest in the Miss Nigeria beauty pageant when along the road, her bus and various other vehicles were waylaid by armed robbers and all her costume and clothes and those of others were stolen and thus could not make it for the Nigerian pageant. There is no doubt that she could have been crowned as the MISS NIGERIA then.
After her education she went straight into business, a skill and passion she acquired from her mother. She tried her hands at various businesses like importation and sale of electronics items, sale of fashion goods but her passion was for the hospitality business and the call was so irresistible that she abandoned all other businesses and decided to face the hospitality industry.

Thus, was berthed the IFYCIOUS KITCHEN in the Ilupeju area of Lagos in the year 2017. Her tenacity of purpose and enigmatic charisma saw her excelling in the midst of all odds especially during the covid years when many other businesses crumbled. She is also an event planner per excellence who has planned great events for corporate and personal clients. Her clientele includes but not limited to University Of Lagos Architecture department and the GNLD company, an international corporate entity.
Her passion for culinary excellence got the attention of her church, the redeemed Christian church at Gbagada where she has to date been a resource teacher at the church mentoring people in the skill acquisition and catering department of the church.
She continued to improve and expand on the business and along the line added the IFYCIOUS LODGE which became an instant success.
To the glory of God another branch of the lodge is in the offing and will be opened soon in the Ilupeju area of Lagos.
Her trailblazing entrepreneurship acumen and doggedness has attracted other hospitality establishment to that axis of town that it has now become the entertainment hub of Ilupeju metropolis.

Mrs. Stephenia Ify Fajemisin is happily married to a medical practitioner, Dr. Wilfred Adedokun Fajemisin, and the union is blessed with two beautiful children, a girl and a boy.
