The final burial activities of a renowned politician and community leader, Alhaja Mujidat Abeke Ogunaike, the Iyalode Akarigbo of Remoland will commence on Monday, 26th May, 2025.
According to the release by the Children of the deceased and Ogunnaike family, the activities will start with final tributes by her political family on Monday, 26th May, 2025 at the States Secretariat of the Peoples Democratic Party in Abeokuta by 12 noon.
At 4pm same day, there will be a Night of Tributes at the deceased’s residence, 4, Ogunleye Close, Off Sabintu Street, Sabo, Sagamu.
On Tuesday, 27th May, Celebration of Life holds by 12:00pm at Remo divisional high school, Kara, sabo, Sagamu.
On Thursday, 29th May, there will be motorcade round Sagamu starting by 10am while Christian Wake holds at the Akarigbo Palace Hall Ita-Oba, Sagamu by 4pm.
Interdenominational Funeral Service holds on Friday 30th May at Sapele Events Center, Sagamu by 10:00am. Internment follows immediately while reception of guests will hold same day.
Alhaja Mujidat Ogunnaike was born on the 5th of March 1949, she was a strong Politician in Ogun State with numerous political positions. As a community leader, she was conferred with many chieftaincy titles including the Iyalode Akarigbo of Remoland.
Alhaja MUJIDAT was called to glory on the 11th of May 2025 at the age of 76.
She is survived by Children, grandchildren and great grandchildren among whom are Yeye Adenike Adebutu, wife of the 2023 Gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Hon. (Dr) Oladipupo Adebutu, Chief (Mrs) Ajewole Akerele and others
