Have you listened to Yinka Ayefele’s latest album which he released a few days ago? If you haven’t you are missing a lot. It is hot. It is very danceable and the album is selling like hot cake. Over the years, it has become a tradition for the Tungba gospel crooner, Dr Yinka Ayefele, MON to release a new album and video of the previous one every December. In fact, the multi-talented singer has been releasing hot albums back-to-back since his very first one, ‘Bitter Experience’.
This year is not in any way different as Ayefele has released a new album entitled ‘Manifestation’ and a video of his last album ‘Ekundsyo’. Manifestation is a 9-tracks album with a fast tempo and heavy percussion that Ayefele is known for. It is an album laced with praises, thanksgiving, hymns and danceable beats.
The album, released and marketed by Alloy Production International, hits the market Sunday 19th December 2021. It has in it tracks like ‘Iwo Ni Oluwa’, ‘Oba Awon Oba’, ‘We Praise You Lord’, ‘Lilly of the Valley’, ‘Duro De Oluwa’, ‘Orin Ogo’, ‘Ebu Dike’ (Hail my Jesus), ‘Gbe Oluwa Ga’ and ‘Awon Temi’. In the album, Ayefele sang praise to his old fans, as well as some of the new fans. The album is hot, and that explains why it becomes an instant hit from the day it was released. It’s presently the talk of the town. So great is the album, according to some marketing survey, that it sold over a million copies within two it was released.
Some of the top celebrities mentioned in the album include Tope Agbeyo; Seyi Onajide; Chief (Mrs) Toyin Kolade, the Iyalaje Odua of Yorubaland; Tinuade Falade; Seyi Adenuga from Miami; Ajagunnla Fabiyi Fadeyi; Engr. Olajumoke Ademola.
The likes of Asiwaju Olumide Orafidiya; Eludayo Eluyemi; Engr. Pekun Adesina; Barr. Lekan Bada; Tolani Aborisade; popular presenter, Yomi Mate (Ifankaleluyah); Jide Babalola; Imoyosola Adetoro; Olawale Fabiyi (Mr. Bite); Architect Sola Omotosho and others were also mentioned in the album.
While some new names were also praised in the album. Apart from the beautiful lyrics and some other things that characterized the new album, however, it is highly symbolic in the life and career of Yinka Ayefele. It is the 25th album of Ayefele and the 24th anniversary of the accident which changed his life totally.
Little wonder then that Ayefele decided to celebrate in a unique way. Ayefele, at an event, on Sunday 12th December 2021, celebrated 12 people who he said have stood by him through thick and thin. At the event tagged 12/12 thanksgiving, Ayefele gave out awards to the 12 people who are mostly members of his globally acclaimed Merry Maker Band, particularly Mr David Aremu, his lead talking drummer aka Jegede.
Yinka Ayefele’s wife of many years and mother of triplets, Mrs Tope Ayefele, who was among the 12 awardees got a 4-flat building of three-bedroom flats each as a gift from her husband in addition to the award. The event held during the annual Miss Oyo Beauty Pageant hosted by the popular broadcaster, Mayor Isaac Brown. Ayefele didn’t only reward his band members but also extended the celebration to 12 lucky winners who had bought entry tickets to the event.
The lucky winners were picked through a raffle draw conducted by the regulatory body. Ayefele in appreciating God for sparing him in the accident lavished nine (9) brand new Hisense refrigerators, a complete living room settee and two brand new TV sets on the winners.
Ayefele, no doubt, has proven his proficient not only in music but also in business and several other endeavours. His band has become a global brand, his Fresh Fm radio is now in states; Oyo, Ekiti, Ogun and Osun states. He has also diversified to other areas lately, to show that he’s indeed multi-talented. He is a broadcaster, singer, businessman, comedian and lately a skit maker.
Aside from thousands of live records and several singles, Ayefele, since the inception of his music career in 1997, has to his credit albums like ‘Bitter Experience’ (1998), ‘Sweet Experience’ (1999), ‘Something Else’ (2000), ‘Divine Intervention’ (2001), ‘Fun Fair’ (2002), ‘Life After Death’ (2003), ‘Aspiration’ (2003), ‘Fulfillment’ (2004), ‘New Dawn’ (2005), ‘Next Level’ (2006), ‘Gratitude’ (2007), ‘Absolute Praise’ (2008), ‘Transformation’ (2009), ‘Everlasting Grace’ (2010), ‘Prayer Point’ (2011), ‘Goodness of God’ (2012), ‘Comforter’ (2013), ‘Overcomer’ (2014), ‘Upliftment’ (2015), ‘Fresh Glory’ (2016), ‘Living Testimony’ (2017), ‘Favour’ (2018), ‘Beyond the Limits’ (2019), ‘Ekundayo’ (2020) and the latest one ‘Manifestation’.
