Many people often think they know Pres. Bola Tinubu inside out. Even his enemies think when they engage him in a war of words on social media, they can get him to budge on issues. But they have found all that to be a wrong approach.
This is the story of a man who many of his adversaries don’t quite understand. It is the story of Pres. Bola Ahmed Tinubu who is hated by many people because they just can’t understand how he plays his game and wins. That is why some call him a political master strategist. There are many people who have not been able to come to terms with his resounding victory at the polls as President. This is because they had written him off. The way he bounced back and beat all the contestants to it still surprises many till today. And some of those who felt embittered are in the Supreme Court fighting hard to stop him by all possible means.
There are many people who have continued to wonder how the likes of Atiku, Peter Obi & Co. who are his friends have continued to tackle him, in what one of them called Fight to Finish.
But insiders have revealed that Pres. Tinubu does not mind. He is used to it, they say. And his Destiny is such that in every move he makes there are people out there ready to tackle him.
They have revealed that his Destiny is such that he will always be the butt of attacks, and battles, which he will at the end of the day still win.
A friend of his once revealed that the reason Tinubu usually keeps quiet in the face of attacks and tribulations is because he knows that it will always come, whether he likes it or nit. It is his Destiny.
City People gathered that ever since President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was a little child he has had to encounter so many challenges, back to back. From childhood to adulthood he had to scale so many hurdles to make it in life. And every goal he sought to achieve right from childhood has been a tough fight which became very pronounced when he went into Politics. For every election he has contested since he joined Politics, he has had to contend with all those who just hate him for who he is.
Even those he helped to attain positions of power turned round and betrayed him.
Insiders have revealed that all this is attributable to the kind of Luck and Destiny he is blessed with. It is one which will make people to pick up fights with him and for his associates to betray him. But the flipside to the Destiny he has is that he will always win his many battles, which explains why he has won every battle he has engaged in since he was a child. And none of those who have engaged him in a battle has won at his expense. Rather, they go into oblivion. Those close to Pres. Tinubu have revealed that going by his destiny all those who engage him in a battle will always lose. And they cited the long list of victims currently littering the political landscape.
One of those who grew up with him in Lagos, in those good old days, revealed that Pres. Tinubu is what the Yoruba’s called Akanda Eeyan which means he is a special being made by God.
He explained that this why Tinubu never always fights with people, because if he is the one that initiates the fight he might not win it. But if others fight him, they will always fail. Part of his Destiny is that he is to continue to always help other people to realise their dreams, and as he does that he himself will continue to prosper.
“Pres. Tinubu knows this about his destiny. That is why he doesn’t fight people or respond to whatever his haters say or do. Many of his aides have revealed how usually frustrated they get when their critics launch massive attacks on Tinubu, their Principal and they can’t respond accordingly. All he would say is for his aides to keep quiet and not to reply.
No wonder former Minister Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN) wrote in his tribute to Tinubu @ 60 that “I don’t remember one public contest where he has lost the war. I speak to many battles fronts, from Oyo, to Borgu, Ife, Ibadan, Lagos and Anambra to mention but a few. Of course, he bears many battle scars and these attest to his tactical ability to surrender battles in other to win wars…”
“…I think his looks are perhaps his biggest weapon. He wears a placid face that masks his intellect and quick thinking and probing mind. By the time I started working with him, I realised how much advantage his looks gave him against his adversaries. It was always tempting to underestimate him, but many of his opponents have found out often too late that they have been outwitted by a man of razor-sharp mind and quick wit”.
That is why his friend turned enemy, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola described Tinubu as an Enigma, in his Tribute when Tinubu turned 60.
“One trait that sets him apart is how he handles crisis. He never panics or buckles under. He is always calm, cool and collected.
Crisis is tonic for Asiwaju. He is a natural crisis and disaster manager. Either phyical, natural, or spiritual, crisis for Asiwaju is tonic. It is when the situation gets abnormal that Asiwaju is at his best. If a developing crisis has not attained a graver dimensions, Asiwaju will not involve himself. But just when it appears that there is no solution again, that is when he will show forth his acumen for taming catastrophe. If any man could be said to have super human capacity for the management of crisis, threat, danger and disturbance, Asiwaju is that person.
Then, he properly defends himself. He is never the aggressor”.
“Asiwaju can never have an enemy. Is there anybody who fell out with Asiwaju and still remains his enemy till date. It is not possible. He is so committed to friendship that no matter your indiscretion or offence to him, he will persevere and endure until you yourself fight him or pronounce your antagonism”.
Asiwaju told me that it wasn’t in his style to fight with People. He said no matter your offence, you would even be the one to fight with him. And truly I have not seen him fight with anybody. He said none of his friends could claim that he fought with them. They would always be the one to fight with him. This was because if you were the one who fought him, you would never defeat him.
