This years, 2019 Ojude Oba Festival promises to be great fun. Ojude Oba is a very spectacular celebration of the Ijebu of South West Nigeria that took its origin in Islam; but it has since been embraced by other religion. It has now become an Ijebu tradition which has been in existence for about 2 centuries. City People can reveal that preparations are in top gear to make this years event a worthwhile one, for all the sons and daughters of Ijebuland, guests, friends, families and well wishers.
As customary, various artistes have been lined up to entertain at an International musical show, to be complemented by the Miss Ojude Oba Festival pageant, in the night of Ojude Oba day. Artistes to perform live, to thrill the audience will be Lil Kesh, one of the wave making Hip Hop stars; Alhaji Abass Akande Obesere, a Fuji Legend, and host of others.
