It was a glamourous day when Mama Boladale Adunni Adeshina celebrated her 80th birthday on Saturday, 19th February 2023 at the prestigious Vantage Point Event centre, Ikeja ,Lagos amidst glitz and glamour
The birthday celebration was huge and classy , as Mama Boladale was treated to a memorable celebration by her children, son-inlaws, family and well wishers. The guests who were about 150 were all glamorously dressed according to the event dress code of Gold and Pink to honour this great woman whose life journey inspired many, as a disciplined kind and loving mother and friend.
Top event compere, Temiloluwa Taiwo Olubadan a.k,a MC Obama, took charge of the event and he put professional touch to the proceedings. He is one of the very best in the industry right now. Faith Band also serenaded guests with beautiful tunes.
Glamorous in their resplendent outfits, the guests were quite appreciative and cautious of time, and they began to trickle in at exactly 2pm, the scheduled time, to honour the woman of valour.
The dignitaries were successful men and women from various sectors, from banking to judiciary; politics,to Culture, and the arts, etc.
Mama Boladale’s story is an inspiration to many. She has played the role of a mother and adviser to not only her 4 biological children, but to all that knew her and consulted her for motherly guidance and advice.
Her close friend of 64 years, Mrs Alausa spoke of how they started their friendship while in secondary school ,way back as 1954 and how their children also became friends in Dallas Texas. She recounted how cheerful she gives, effortlessly, and how people love to be around her because of her kindness and caring gesture.
Mama’s beautiful daughter, Olufunmilola also spoke of how her mum loves to give them things whenever she has excess. She said with mama, every day is like Christmas.
“We always pray that mummy has money because once she has any money with her, we will all be swimming in enjoyment. She never keeps anything away from us. We call her mother Christmas”.
This was evident, as guests from all walks of life, turned up to show gratitude for her noble contributions to their education and careers.They came to celebrate the astute advocate of moral ethics and belief in God.
Bashorun Eniola Fayose,a
top businessman and socialite, who also doubles as Mama Boladale’s son-In-law, spearheaded the event, as mama’s children also dazzled in grandstyle to felicitate with mama.
They came with their husbands, wives and children who are mama’s grandchildren.
They all looked so elegant in their various native attires. They are Mr Akeem Adesina, Mrs Olajumoke Oshuntokun, Aderemi Adesina and Olufunmilola Fayose.
Paramount Yoruba ruler, the Ooni of Ife, His Royal Majesty, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi also graced the event with his entourage. Oba Kayode Adenekan, the Alapomu of Apomu was also present. Also present was Erelu Abiola Dosumu , Erelu Jumoke Adebiyi, Elder Mrs Alausa, Alhaja Onibon, Tokunbo Wahab, and many others prominent dignitaries.
