On the Thursday 27th of July, 2017, the Rock City, Abeokuta experienced the birth of a new night life outfit, KGM Club as lot of big boys and society topnotch trooped in their numbers to celebrate its launching.
There are two kinds of clubs that one goes to when one is ‘going clubbing’. Glorified lounges with some dance floor, and lots of tables on the side for bottle service.
Sure, some people dance. Most people go to these places, however, to sit at their tables and look smug about how cool they must be to get bottle service. And occasionally get up and dance on the seats around their table, or on the railings-ish things dividing the tables. Or on the dance floor right in front of their table. This kind of clubbing is all for being able to say you went to the coolest hotspot, and to be seen by the right people. And maybe do a little dancing. And that definitely is what KGM is offering.
The club is located at the highbrow area of Abeokuta and despite the fact that its vicinity is the Quarry Road, an area known to be full of live and jolly, Hassan plans to use KGM to boost the social lifestyle of its environ.
The club has a large car park, enough to accommodate fun seekers with a high standard security and lot of night life events to keep customers satisfied to the fullest.
The club comes in 3 sections, the regular, the VIP and the VVIP. It also has a Snooker section as side attraction.
Hassan Olawale popularly known as King Good Man floated the new club in Abeokuta and the club is called KGM. His passion for clubbing and his love for social gathering prompted him to float the club, though he had only been in the rock city for 2 years.
Over the years, his friends have studied him and motivated him to go into the business. Hassan claims that his experience clubbing in various clubs in Abeokuta is an edge for KGM over other club.
Before launching his club, Hassan was into Saw Mill business, a business his father introduced him to. The Saw Mill business to him is a family business and it’s a lucrative one.
On how he got the nickname “King”, Hassan dated it back to 2009 when he was on a BBM Forum where he was known as GoodMan because of his generosity and one fateful day, he was tagged “King” by a lady in the group, hence the acronym KGM which is now the name of his newly floated Club.
The Chief Executive Officer and Owner of KGM revealed that his plan is to make KGM the most after club in Abeokuta and Ogun State at large as he had already began plans to nurture and grow the club over time till he moves it to a more prominent and permanent site which s and night would be more accommodating and satisfying for clients and night life lovers.
With the recent decline in the night life entertainment in Abeokuta, we can say from firsthand experience that KGM is set to restore entertainment at its peak to Abeokuta residents. Hassan Said.
He further revealed that KGM would not just be a night club for fun seekers but an home away from home for nightlife lovers.
KGM knows that some people like to dance. Some people like to dance with music (especially bass) so loud that you can feel it overriding your heartbeat, and echoing throughout your body. To be surrounded by and crushed up against hundreds if not thousands of sweaty, dancing, crazy strangers, who are all completely separate from you but completely in sync with you, dancing to the same music. To succumb to the mob of people and to lose yourself in it. Where you close your eyes and you can’t even feel yourself breathe, you’re feeling the collective breath of the people around you. Where you can’t help but move because dancing feels so natural and so right. You don’t have to dance well, you just have to dance; it’s impossible to stand still. And that is an add from KGM.
If you ever have a reason to visit Abeokuta and want to enjoy the luxury of a wonderful night life entertainment, then KGM is the spot to visit.
