A frontline member of the Penpushing platform and veteran journalist, Olooye Lekan Alabi has added another feat to his status, following his promotion to the new highest chieftaincy title in Ibadanland, the administrative headquarters of South-West of Nigeria
Penpushing reports that the promotion of Alabi as Maye Olubadan of Ibadan was with the consent of the Ibadan Traditional Council, as also approved by the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Olalekan Balogun.
The ceremony of the installation of Alabi and the other eight newly promoted chiefs, to have their new ranks will take place at Alliwo Palace under the supervision of the first-class traditional ruler of the ancient town on Friday 17, June 2022
Penpushing further reports that, other elevated chiefs include: Chief Kola Babalola SAN (Abese Olubadan of Ibadanland), Chief Lateef Oyeola Oyelade (Ekefa Olubadan of Ibadanland), Chief Yekeen Ayoade Adeojo (Agbaakin Olubadan of Ibadanland) and Chief Ismaila Akinade Fijabi (Aare Alaasa Olubadan of Ibadanland).
The others are : Chief Saka Fola Lapade (Ikolaba Olubadan of Ibadanland), Chief Senator Teslim Folarin Baale (Asaaju Olubadan of Ibadanland), Chief Muibi Ademola Adewuyi (Ayingun Olubadan of Ibadanland) and Chief Raufu Yesufu Delesolu(Aare Ago Olubadan of Ibadanland).
