Otunba BODE & Yeye CHARITY JIMOH’s Daughter Weds

On Saturday, November 19th, all road led to the prestigious event centre, The Havens Hall where over 1000 guests gathered to celebrate with Lagos socialites, Otunba Wahab Bode and Yeye Charity Jimoh as they gave out their daughters hand in marriage to her heartthrob, Joseph Odeh. It was a very colourful event where guests had an amazing time. The ceremony started with a church service at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Ogudu, Lagos while the reception was at The Haven Hall, Ikeja. CHURCH SERVICE AT SACRED HEART CATHOLIC CHURCH

The solemnisation of holy matrimony between Oreoluwa Augusta and Joseph Monday was at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ogudu Lagos. The officiating priests who presided over the wedding were the parish priest, Rev Father John Okoro, Rev father Paul Aransiola who is the associate priest, and Rev Maxwell Berechi, the priest in residence. They took over all the joining ceremonies and proclaimed the couple as one.

THE COUPLE— OLD SCHOOL SWEETHEARTS

The love story between Oreoluwa and Joseph Odeh is an interesting one. Anyone who sees this two on their wedding day will surely know it was all about love. The couple met when they were in school and the cord strucked just immediately. They were both alumnus of University of Lagos. They have been together for 8 years and it was at the university of Lagos that they met. How did they came close to each other?, we gathered that Joseph was the head of Class when they newly gained admission into the school, while Ore deputized him. Like they say the rest is history. They looked so colourful for their day. They were happy and danced all through their day beaming lovely smiles.

These couple are 2 popular socialites who are well known in the sectors they play in. The brides father, Otunba Wahab Atanda Jimoh is one of the top freight forwarders in Lagos. He is the Otunba Ajase Ipo in Kwara State. His pretty wife, Yeye Charity Jimoh is an unassuming woman who is well loved by her teaming friends. She is a top fabric merchant on the Island who has been in the fabric business for 25 years and she was the supplier of all the Aso Ebis for the wedding. She is the Yeye Otunba Ajase Ipo in Kwara State.

All the way from Benue, Joseph made sure his parents stormed Lagos for his Wedding. They are one happy family whom are well loved by their inlaws. The Jimohs received them with love all through the 2 days ceremony. The grooms father is Mr Jonah Odeh while his wife is Mrs Comfort Odeh.

The colourful engagement and reception ceremony were the high point of this party because there was never a dull moment from start to finish. The event was well coordinated, with many guests and families looking radiant in their attires, the venue of the party, The Havens was well transformed into heavenlies and retinue of celebrity vendors were on hand to cater for guests needs.

What is Lagos party without Aso Ebi? Give it to Lagos women especially the fabric merchants, they were handful at the party. The Aso Ebi chosen for the occasion was a pink navy blue velvet inspired stoned lace and pink coloured Aso Oke gele. Almost 90% of the guests dazzled in their aso-ebi. Even the men were not left out of the show. The women all turned up in their navy blue and pink combination aso-ebi with their neck speaking loud with dainty jewelries. They were the life of the party as many of them had unlimited fun and celebrated with the couple’s parents as their children starts a new journey. Some of the celebrity women who looked stylish in their attire were the couple’s mothers who took the lead with their outfits for the event. The aso-ebi was supplied by the brides mum, Yeye Charity Jimoh who is also a fabric merchant of 25-years in the business. At the party were some of the super rich men who are friends of the brides father, Otunba Wahab Jimoh. Someone his friends who were at the party belong to a social/business club called FOCON, they are into freight forwarding business. They all looked good on their white attire with pink cap. They supported the brides father with their presence in kind and in cash.

BABY PINK- COLOUR OF THE SEASON

If you have noticed at many Owambe this year, colour pink has been dominant. Infact it has become the official colour of the year because back to back, it keeps recurring at major parties as colour of the day. This was no exception at the Jimohs and Odehs children wedding. The colour of the day was navy blue and pink. It came out beautifully well on all guests.

BRIDES MUM DAZZLED IN EXPENSIVE OUTFITS

Give it to the brides mum, she dazzled in all her 3 expensive outfits. From the wine colour Aso oke for the traditional engagement and the gold dress for the church service to the orange mixed with gold all sequined lace for the reception party, the 3 looked beautiful on her. She jazzed it up with beautiful and exquisite 18 karat gold jewelries.
