Saturday, 28th of August, 2021, was the day Chima TOS Anaele, the son of the late Chief TOS ANAELE Jp. The Etche, Rivers State-born politician, married his heartthrob, Cynthia Obiageriaku Nwanjoku, of Agbom Community in Orwu Etche. The entire Rivers political class came out in great numbers to honour one of their own, especially the groom’s father, late Chief TOS Anaele the played a major role in the development of modern Rivers State, before his demise.
The solemnisation of holy matrimony took place that Saturday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Wali Turugo Street, Nkpolu-Rumuigbo Road, Port Harcourt. It played host to high profile A-list guests. The reception was held at Oak Valley Event Center on SARS road, Port Harcourt.
Among top politicians who graced the wedding Chief Allwell Onyesoh, a former Rivers State Commissioner for Education, and later Commissioner For Sports and a former Chairman, Rivers State Senior Secondary Schools Management Board. All Etche PDP LGA and ward executives members including PDP Ward Women leaders such as Barrister Jerome Okere, Dr. (Mrs.) Charity Njoku, Etche PDP Women Leader graced the occasion. All the 19 Ward Councilors in Etche Local Government Area of Rivers State were there, Senibo Hebron Kelefini Ogolo, the Auditor General of University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital – (UPTH), Dr Godwin O. Anurume, Lady IB (Rivers State PMAN Sole Administrator), High Chief Emma Nwaobilor the Omezuru Oha 1 of Igboh Kingdom), Hon. Charles Anyanwu a former member of the Rivers State House of Assembly) and a former S.A Youth Affairs at the Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC), Rt. Hon. Cynthia Nwala (Leader Etche Legislative Arm), and ceremony. Hon. Barr. John Otamiri (Etche PDP Party Chairman), were among the guests. Others include Hon. Gladys Nweke (Etche Local Government Vice-Chairman), Honourable Nnanna Opurum (member representing Etche Constituency 1 at the Rivers State House of Assembly), Chief Dr Robinson Ewor, a former member of the Rivers State House of Assembly and currently the State PDP’s Vice Chairman 1. Distinguished Senator, Magnus Ngei Abe sent a representative in the person of Engr Ineye Jack, a former S.A to the Governor of Rivers State, Chief Loveday Okere, Dr George Choko and a host of others. The groom, Chima TOS Anaele, an indigene of Umuaguanunu Community, Umuoye in Etche is the Financial Secretary of PDP in Etche Local Government Area.
The beautiful bride had a fun-filled day as the colour of the day, Wine-Gold and Silver made the brightest effect on the star-studded ceremony. The touching strong-worded toast read “As water cannot quench love, nor can the flood drown it. May your marriage be honourable till the glorious days. Or bind us together with your perfect love that cannot be broken.”
Truly, the wedding left a memorable impact of class and show of love to a bright political godson of a political Octopus, who is City People Magazine Grassroot Politician of South-South award recipient, Chief Allwell Onyesoh. He is a 2023 aspirant for the Rivers State East Senatorial seat.
