The big news is that Otunba Yemi Lawal has started work on 2 new projects. One is a project he has just embarked on in Iperu-Remo, his wife’s home town in Ogun State. He is constructing 50 units of 3-bedroom bungalows in Iperu-Remo. This is in preparation for the Cargo airport coming up in Iperu. There are other business opportunities that will soon spring up in that area, we learnt.
We gathered that because Gov. Dapo Abiodun is doing a lot in Infrastructure in that area and opening up Ogun State for business opportunities, Otunba Lawal plans to take advantage of the numerous opportunities. It was learnt that the estate is targeted at the Middle Class and those in Diaspora. According to an insider, with the good roads and the new rail linking Lagos to Ogun, Abeokuta, Sagamu, and Iperu is the place to be.
The project will start after Ramadan. We hear that Iperu means much to Otunba Yemi Lawal & his wife. Though he is from Abeokuta, his wife, Ayotunde, is from Iperu. Last week, the couple was elevated to the chieftaincy title of Sooko of Iperu-remo Akesan and his wife as Beere of Iperu-remo Akesan, by HRH, Oba Adeleke Idowu Basibo, the Alaperu of Iperuland at the Palace. This is the first of its kind in Iperu. We almost forgot to tell you that Otunba is a multi-capped chief of many domains. He has 10 titles and still has 5 more coming.
Apart from his Sooko of Iperu-Akesanland title, he is the Osi Bobagunwa of Egbaland, Bobamulero of Ikorodu kingdom, Bobasua of Iperu-Akesanland, Baba Oba Onigbedu of Ewekoro, Oganla of Gbagura, Uchudo n Umueke Udi, Enugu, Imole Adinni of Lagos, Bobagunwa of Isaga-Orile, Leragun of Ago-Ika, Gbagura and many more.
His 2nd project is a set of 120 units of 1,2,3 super-luxury apartments in Oniru, on over 600sqm, called TheView. This is going to be a 10-Floor edifice with Gym, Lounge, Pharmacy, Grocery Shop to Cater for residents. We hear the minimum price per unit is N75million for the 1-Bedroom.

He attended the Credit Risk Management II at the Citibank School of Banking, NY, USA, Leadership, Innovation & Entrepreneurial Skills, and London Management Centre. Real Estate and Capital Market Program at Kennedy School of Architecture Harvard University, USA, The General Management Program (TGMP 17), Real Estate Management Program (2010) as well as the Ownership Management Program (OPM) at the Harvard Business School, Boston-USA. Alumni of Lagos Business School, and Harvard Business School (HBS).
