A road accident along Katsina/ Batsari highway has claimed the lives of three persons while nine others also sustained varying degrees of injuries.
Eyewitnesses said the accident occurred about 9 pm on Friday along the highway around Bakiyawa.
It was learnt that the accident involved a Honda Accord car, a tricycle, and a motorcycle.
The driver of the car was reported to be on full speed and had attempted to overtake other vehicles when he ran into the tricycle and the motorcycle.
When contacted, the state Commander of the Federal Roads Safety Corps, Ali Tanimu, confirmed the accident.
