It is no longer news that Lagos Celebrity Lady, EMMANUELLA ROPO is officially married to the Oluaye of Fuji and Maiyegun of Yorubaland, K1.
What many don’t know is who Emmanuella is and what she does for a living. CityPeople can tell you all that authoritatively. Over the last 5 years, CityPeople has interviewed this stunning beauty several times and she has told us a lot about her.
Let us tell you a little about her. She runs a party company that plans kiddies parties. For amazing party stuff, many people go to her shop called Party Dreams in Lagos to buy party things. She has in stock, children’s party packs, kids party decorations, children’s toys, party balloons, fun accessories, special party orders, gift items and adult kinds of stuff, etc.
So good is this pretty lady that her shop has grown so big and is well stocked with kiddies things.
What made her go into Kiddies party stuff Citypeople asked her.
“It was because of my love for kids. That has been a great inspiration for me. I have been in the business for about 9 years. It has been an interesting business. When the recession came the business slowed down a bit. But things have improved. We are doing well. All we do here is everything that has to do with parties.”
“We organise parties. We plan for them. All you need is for you to tell us what you want to do. How you want it to look. We deal with everything that has to do with kids, from doing baby showers to the age of 15. We take charge of everything from MC to Venue, the cakes, the props.”
When she was young what did she plan to do when she grows up, we asked?
She laughs. “It’s funny. I actually wanted to be a lawyer. From when I was a child, I loved to make things. I loved to paint. I love to decorate. Every Xmas I always loved Balloons and Decorations.
Where and how was growing up for her?
“I was born and I grew up in Abeokuta, Ogun State. I am from Ogun State. I schooled in Abeokuta. I did my Nursery, Primary and Secondary school in Abeokuta at Abeokuta Girls Grammar School. From there, I did my OND at Ibadan Poly where I studied Estate Management, and my HND at Yaba College of Technology. I served in Lagos State and shortly after I got married. After that, I started having children and I decided to face taking care of my kids. After that, I decided to do the Party business. But I started with Interior Decoration. So, I travelled and I got a whole lot of interior decoration stuff because I like to decorate. But a friend of mine advises me to go into kiddies stuff because I love kids.”
“She said Emmanuella, I know you love kids, do something along that line. I told her No. I don’t want to do that. I told her I have a huge Capital with me. I wanted to do Big business. I got a whole building and I stucked it up with interior decoration materials. I now set up a small shop at Ogba, here, to do kiddies party stuff. The interior decor was not really moving, whereas I got returns from the Kiddies shop, daily. I wanted a business that can give me regular income. So, I took the decor home to decorate my house and I focused solely on the party stuff.”
So, what services does she offer here? “When my customers come here they can get everything that they need to organise a party. That is why we are here. We save them the stress of thinking about how the party should go. Once they tell us the cartoon character they want for the party and their budget, we are good to go”.
“We can advise them on what they want and what they should do. We also do home delivery.”
