Come May 14th 2022, stars will be gathered to see who emerge winner for different categories for AMVCA 2022.
This year award has 33 categories, viewers voted on 12 categories while the awards jury chaired by Victor Okhai Chose 21. And for the year, best soundtracks award will get 1 million naira as gift.
Stars have been canvassing for votes on social media from their fans and well wishers.

She emerged the only female with 9 nominations for AMVCA this year.

She also bagged “Best Actress In A Comdey” nomination.
Funke has won this particular category back to back in the last 3 years and many are sure, she might be going home with the same award this year besides other categories.

The multiple award winning super star, Mercy Johnson Okojie also made it to the AMVCA 2022 nomination. She was nominated in the Supporting Actress category with her exceptional role interpretation in the movie “The New Normal”.
Chioma Chukwuka Akpotha bagged Best Supporting Actress nomination for her exceptional role interpretation in Funke Akindele’s movie “Omoghetto The Saga”, she played the role of Chummy Choko in the movie, a member of Lefty’s (Funke) gang.

Asabe Madaki is a Hausa actress who starred in “Queen Amina” and a series called “Larabe’s World”. Besides this, she has equally featured in other award winning movies. She was nominated for Best Actress category with the movie “Voiceless”.
Multiple award winning screen icon, Clarion Chukwura also bagged “Best Supporting Actress” category for the movie with the highest nomination this year. “Amina” with 13 nominations, while Rattle Snake and Omoghetto The Saga followed with 9 and 8 nominations respectively.
Many fans were indeed impress with movie icon Clarion Chukwura’s role interpretation in the movie “Amina”, and many are certain. She will win the category.
Genoveva Umeh also bagged nomination for Best Actress in a drama, for the movie “A Tune Away”. She is known for her appearance in “Love Is War”, “One Lagos Night” and others. In 2022, she was cast in Blood Sister, a Netflix four part crime thriller, directed by Biyi Bandele and Kenneth Gyang.
