Mauricio Pochettino was the first manager to appear for the EPL news conferences on Thursday and he says that winger Erik Lamela, who has been out for 13 months with hip injuries, is close to a return.
“We are waiting, now it is down to him to get the right feeling to say ‘I am here to be available if you want’, says Pochettino.
“He is training, doing well, but after one year it is how he is feeling.”
Meanwhile, Tottenham have confirm that defender Toby Alderweireld and midfielder Victor Wanyama are still not ready to play and will miss their home game against West Brom on Saturday.
