The Registrar Dora Omuvwie Osoatu also spoke “esteemed proud parents and most importantly the matriculating students. Sbe hegan her welcome speech. “I welcome you all once again to Vision University first Matriculation ceremony. The University Registry and the registry staff by extension in any university, are the first point of call for students, parents and the general public seeking admission or making inquiries. The University registry of Vision University, is well structured and poised to meet the influx of inquiries and admission processes.

This is the first Matriculation ceremony of Vision University, and it is an epoch breaking ceremony, that will forever be remembered in the history of this University.

These matriculating students are the proud pioneers, which God almighty has used to open this noble University. They are our visionary leaders of tomorrow. They are the ambassadors of the University that will go forth into the world in the next 4 years to make Vision University proud.

We are extremely delighted to have Vision University students. As you know, the transition from Secondary School to the University is a big leap for some of them, who are still babies to mummies and daddies at home. Therefore, we play the role of in-locos-parents, as we watch over them as a hen watches over her chicks. Their daily activities from academics to spiritual are well guided.

In Vision University, we believe in an all-round education, therefore, as a faith based institution, the spiritual wellbeing of our students cannot be divorced from their daily lives. Vision University officially opened its door, to admitting students on Friday 5th January, 2024. Therefore, we are approximately 12 weeks into the academic session for 2023/2024. Matriculation ceremony signifies the end of admission as the University consolidates on the students that have been admitted.

The extant rules and regulations guiding the conduct of students are strictly adhered to. The orientation programme for the students was successfully held from 7th-12th January, 2024.

Vision University is fast becoming a household name in Ikogbo, Imose, Igando and even beyond. It will surprise you all to know that, we receive calls from people making inquiries as far as from the Northern part of the country for direct entry admission into Vision University.

I therefore strongly believe that, our next matriculation will witness an overflow of students. It is not by our power but because the favour of God almighty is upon this University “for by strength no man shall prevail” 1 Samuel 2:9.

On this note, I sincerely appreciate the Chancellor, Prophetess (Dr.) Ngozi Okafor who also doubles as the Founder of this great institution. She is a source of inspiration to us all. She is industrious, she is astute, she is a philanthropist. She is visionary leader. She is a mother and a grandmother and above all, she is a woman of God. My sincere appreciation also goes to the Board of Trustees, Council members, Management staff, Senate members, Staff and Students of the University.
