How was the year 2021 for Dorian Homes? What were you able to achieve?
Ans: The year 2021 was a great year for Dorian Homes. Looking back now, we see that my long time dream of establishing a befitting and perhaps a first class orphanage home to vulnerable children became reality.
And during the grand opening, we had prominent guests, like VP, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, Pastor Mrs. Esther Ajayi, Deputy Gov of Ondo State, Dr. Wale Babalakin, notable royal fathers, chiefs and Chief Dele Momodu were all in attendance.
They all came to support.
For Dorian Homes, we have a well-equipped library, mini-hall, church, clinic and about 700 beds that can accommodate 700 children conveniently. And of course, towards the ending of the year 2021, we had our first Children’s Party; where a lot of games were played and gifts were won by these vulnerable children. We also taught them moral value.
As we move into 2022, what are your plans for Dorian Homes? What are the major projects to look out for?
Ans: Our plan is that we want people of like minds to support us because it is not easy to feed 100 children and not to even talk of 700 children.
They need clothes, toiletries, food and we will pay staff because we have teachers who are teaching them in-house with a resident doctor.
As we all know, buying drugs is money. We need this massive support because want to help these vulnerable children achieve their dreams regardless of where they come from. For any support, you can reach out to us via any of our social media platform or website.
Tell us the full story of Dorian Homes ? How did you set it up?
Ans: Dorian Homes is something I thought of when I lost my only brother and I began to realize that even with money, he couldn’t be safe and even with connection, he died. And then I said to myself, if God has blessed me, why can’t I use this resource to take care of children who do not even have money to feed or talk-less of paying hospital bills. I just felt that let me do something big that can be of help to humanity; and helping children not to become menace to the society.
So, these are part of the reason why I established this and God helped me. There was no single Kobo from anybody. Today, we appreciate that we have built a home for Children who are homeless and orphans.
We now want people to replicate this in other geopolitical zones, so that these children can have a better life.
How does Dorian Homes operate ? Can people just take their loved ones there?
Ans: Yes, if they are less privileged and they think nobody caters for them and before they become miscreants or urchins or begin to use illicit drugs or smoke.
So, why not ? You can bring them. And if you see anyone close to you, and you think he or she needs help, just let us know. Everything is possible.
Yes, you can bring them. We are loving people at Dorian Homes and our priority is to see children looking happy because we intend to touch lives.
