Following the back to back success of “One Dance”, “Daddy Yo” and “Come Closer”, along with the three Billboard Music Awards he won earlier this week, it’s safe to say that Wizkid is on what seem like an unstoppable roll.

In a bid to give the people what they want – even more Wizkid – the original Starboy announced that he will be dropping numerous projects throughout the year, and the first one, Sounds From The Other Side, has finally gotten a release date: July 9.
During an interview with Diddy’s Revolt TV, Wizkid referred to the upcoming project, which will feature both local and international producers and artistes, as “a little playlist for summertime.”
About his current sound, Wizkid continued:
“For me, I’m just really making authentic, good music now. I feel like it’s time for me to make some crazy next-level music and that’s just what I’m trying to do. I really hope my fans love it.”
While we all impatiently wait for Sounds From The Other Side to drop – and we’re finally blessed with new Wizkid music – let’s all enjoy “Come Closer” while it’s still our favourite ‘new’ Wizkid track.
