Nigerian Afrobeat singer, David Adeleke, popularly referred to as ‘Davido’ is set to perform alongside J Cole, Grammy-nominated artist, at the 2019 maiden edition of the Dreamville festival.
The ‘Fall’ singer took to his Instagram handle to announce his engagement in the festival, which will be staged at Raleigh’s Dorothea Dix Park in North Carolina on April 6.
The line-up of artists expected to participate in this year’s inaugural Dreamville Festival are J. Cole, SZA, Big Sean, 21 Savage, 6LACK, Nelly, Teyana Taylor, J.I.D., Rapsody, Cozz, Saba, Earthgang, Ari Lennox, Omen, Lute and Mez.
The festival, which will be headlined by J Cole, was initially scheduled for September 15, 2018. It was however postponed due to Hurricane Florence — a category 4 hurricane which affected both North and South Carolina last year.
The organisers said the festival will donate proceeds to help hurricane victims across the state. The festival will also provide financial support for Dorothea Dix Park Conservancy and the Dreamville Foundation.
