The Sultan of Sokoto and President-General, Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar, has told Muslims across Nigeria to pray at home during the forthcoming Eld-Fitri festival.
This was disclosed in a statement signed by Professor Salisu Shehu, Deputy Secretary-General, NSCIA on Wednesday.
According to the Sultan, the advice was given in view of the current COVID-19 pandemic ravaging the world.
The Sultan advised Muslim faithfuls to observe the Eld-Fitri prayer in their houses on Saturday or Sunday as the case may be.
