Tosin Kafilat Badejo is 55. Her family and friends threw in a surprise party in honor of this great icon to celebrate her latest milestone. The party which held at Eko Club, Bamboo Elegushi in Surulere, was indeed cozy and classy.
As expected, the guests arrived at the venue promptly at 1 pm. It was an emotional one, as the celebrant almost burst into tears as her husband “Mr. Idowu Badejo” and her children walked her into the venue to see the awe of what had been set in for her. It was indeed a precious moment! The fashionable family and friends showed up in their elegant white apparel as the dress code for the surprise party. In the course of the event, her parent “Alhaji Musendiku Tinubu and AlhajaWosifat Tinubu, graced the event with their grand entrance in each of their shimmering white outfits to join in the celebration of their daughter.
Later on, the guests were invited to pay tributes to the celebrant. They all had incredible testimonials to tell.
According to Modupe Tinubu -Oyeneye (Sister) “ Aunty Tosin the Oloriebi Baba bukata as I fondly call her is all you want in a wife, friend, boss, colleague, sister in law and on and on. She is beautiful inside and out with a large heart, highly tolerant and very straight forward and above all God-fearing. She has all the attributes of a good leader; listening ears, accountability, positivity, humility and empathy. Big mummy, if I come again and again to this world, I will still choose you as a sister.”
Outstanding vendors who brought the guests to a delight at the deluxe reception are as follows: Bolad Caterers, Kreative Fruits, Perfect Dessert, Garri Yoyo by Hafsat, an amazing music performance by “The Harmony blenders” and a fun ride by the compere “Adisababagboin” as the celebrant dances on the dance floor with her immediate family and shortly thereafter was joined by other beautiful women. Afterwards, both family and friends took turns to cut the cake with the celebrant.

Mrs Tosin Kafilat Adunni Badejo who is the eldest child of her parent was born on 12th of September, 1965 to the Famous Tinubu Family of Kakawa and Adele Family of Isale Eko, her mother Alhaja Wosifat Tinubu who is also a full flesh Lagosian from Danmole in Moshalasi Iimoh and Oshodi in Epetedo Area of Lagos Island. She attended St Mary’s Private School for her Primary School Education between 1972-1977, thereafter proceeded to Jubril Martin Memorial for her Secondary School Education between 1977-1982. She also attended Ansarud-deen High School, Falolu, briefly between 1982 -1983.
While awaiting admission into the university, she enrolled at Debbie’s Computer School Ikeja for a one year programme in computer studies between 1984-1985. She got admission to study Diploma in Computer Studies in the University of Benin (Benin City) between 1985-1987. Two years after her graduation she decided to quit the business for a white-collar job at Allied Bank of Nigeria where she worked for 4 years between 1989-1992. In 1993, she joined the Federal Inland Revenue Services where she works till date. Her 27 years of work experience with FIRS cuts across over eight branches nationwide where she has gained lots of experiences on tax-related issues as a seasoned Tax Officer. In between her employment, she attended Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma between 2001-2005, where she obtained a B.Sc in business Administration. Kafilat Oloruntosin Adunni is a Chartered Member Institute of Taxation of Nigeria. Home front she is also an entrepreneur into premium bread production, Dejosin Grace Bakery in Lagos.
As the eldest daughter of her parents, she is endowed with much intellect to steer the ship of the family. She is blessed with two lovely sisters Engr. (Mrs)Modupe Oyeneye, Mrs Owolabi Amodu and Mrs Seyi Scott (UK) the daughter of her late sister Awujoola Kikelomo of blessed memory, not forgetting Mr Rotimi Sulaiman Tinubu of blessed memory. The husbands of her siblings are also her brother as she relates with them more like family than In-Laws, Mr Banji Oyeneye and Mr Razaak Amodu. Her other siblings from her dad and dad’s twin brother are not left out as she cares and carries everyone along with no discrimination Alhaja Kafayat Tinubu, Mr Lukman Tinubu, Mr Olawale Tinubu, Mr Toyin Tinubu (UK), Mr Sheni Tiriubu (UK), Mrs Hajarat Alaka, Alhaja Aishat Tinubu, Mrs Islamiat Olaiwola, Mr Wasiu Tinubu, Mr LekeTinubu (UK) and the baby of the house Iyabo Tinubu (UK). May Almighty God continually grant our departed (Sister Mariam Omolabake Oseni, sister Awujoola and humorous brother Rotimi) peaceful rest and may we continue to increase in number in sound health and limitless joy, Ameen.
Mrs Tosin Kafilat Adunni Badejo is the Social Secretary Tinubu Descendant Family of Kakawa in Lagos Island. She is quietly sociable, appreciates and keeps the relationship with friends and families of note; Aunty Mojisola, Aunty Bimpe, Aunty Bisi, Aunty Oyinkan, Aunty Shade Oki, Aunty Titcomb, Aunty Shade Bashua, Aunty Ebun Omole, just to mention a few, to her other friends like sisters Aunty Ashabi, Aunty Deola, Aunty Laide, Alhaja Adegbite. She is happily married to her better half Mr Idowu Badejo, the marriage is blessed with an adorable set of twins Taiye Moyosore and Kehinde Morayo.
