2019: APC is not contesting against PDP, but Nigerians – Peter Obi

The running mate to Presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Peter Obi has stated that the coming elections is not a battle between APC and the PDP, but a war between the ruling party and Nigerians as people who are tired of the failure of this current adminstration.

he made this known to newsmen while speaking that the 14th thanksgiving anniversary of former governor of Ogun state, Otunba Gbenga Daniel in Shagamu.

Peter Obim while commending the two-term governor stated that the event is commendable and has shown how far OGD has achieved in his home state

“I think it’s a great achievement to have been gathering people of this great magnitude every year to thank God for his mercies. I congratulate his Excellency, for hosting such a great crowd. Its my first time and I’m excited about it”

when asked about the hope of the PDP on the coming elections, he said its not the issue of what hope PDP have, it’s what hope does Nigeria as a country, Can we get Nigeria working again. I am sure if you go to your village, so many people don’t have job, its insecure and poverty rate at every second. 600 Nigerians are being pushed into poverty, so we are fighting for those people, who don’t know where the next meal will come from. What do we do star guaranteeing them and giving them hope. That is what the election is all about. It’s not about PDP, the fact remains that we have a government that has failed the people and what you and I will have to do not to let them continue.

We will do it better because we have the capacity to do it better, those who are there now don’t have the capacity
