Honourable Olamide Ojomu on Thursday received a warm reception from leaders, executives, and members of the Presidential Coalition Council (PCC) across the wards of Onigbongbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA) during a strategic engagement meeting in Lagos.
The gathering provided Ojomu the opportunity to formally engage the party structure following his declaration of interest to contest the Lagos State House of Assembly seat representing Ikeja Constituency I.
Addressing the party leaders, Ojomu highlighted his professional background as an entrepreneur, businessman, and civil servant, including his service as a board member of the Lagos State  SportsCommission. He also spoke about his longstanding ties to the constituency, particularly his connection with residents of the GRA area.
Ojomu noted that his passion for public service is rooted in family tradition, explaining that both his grandfather and father were actively involved in  politics and community development.
He further described himself as part of a new generation of leaders determined to bring fresh ideas, renewed energy, and innovative thinking to the representation of Ikeja Constituency I at the Lagos State House of Assembly.
The PCC Chairman in Onigbongbo LCDA, Alhaji Kehinde Onifade, welcomed Ojomu and commended his willingness to serve the community. He, however, cautioned that politics should not be approached as a do-or-die affair.
Onifade disclosed that Ojomu is the fourth aspirant to meet with the PCC leadership, stressing that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu remains the foremost  political leader of Ikeja Constituency I and II. He urged all aspirants to maintain peace, respect the party structure, and await the final decision of the party leadership.
Also speaking, the Leader of the Onigbongbo Legislative Council and Councillor representing Ward B (GRA), Hon. Francis Nkwo, praised Ojomu’s contributions to the community. He recalled several instances where Ojomu had supported party members and grassroots initiatives within the ward and across the constituency.
Leaders and executives present at the meeting commended Ojomu’s humility and longstanding relationship with the party structure, expressing confidence in his capacity to provide effective representation if given the opportunity.
The meeting ended with strong encouragement from PCC leaders and councillors, who welcomed his engagement with the structure and urged continued unity within the party.
