It was simply tagged The overall party of the year 2021. Obi Cubana mothers burial was different from all parties. It was a party that trended on Google by climbing number 3 position for that week. It was a party which shut down Anambra State. Though Oba where the party held was a sleepy farming village in Anambra State, and has suddenly been thrust into the limelight after popular Nigerian nightlife entrepreneur, Obi Cubana, staged a talk of the town burial ceremony for his late mum.Many have dubbed it the burial of the year and rightly so. Others are wondering why a septuagenarian’s burial will have all the trappings of a jamboree. But, while they keep debating on the latter, Mr Cubana, with his late mum, Ezinne Iyiegbu’s funeral rites, has raised the bar too high for anyone aspiring to beat his unprecedented record in the country. From the over 400 cows donated to the host, the $100,000 diamond pendant, 67 Private Jets that landed Oba to the fleet of over 500 luxury cars, the ceremony was as loud as loud can be.

The queen had initially planned to do something different, away from partying, which informed her hitting the streets to celebrate with ordinary folks through her Queen Sekinat Foundation. She gave out gift items to market women, presented cash gifts to some, bought goods on display from others and organised a free eye test to about 150 elderly people with a 100 of them going home with free eyeglasses and medication.
