Alaiyeluwa, Oba (Dr.) S,K Adetona (CFR), the Awujale & paramount ruler of Ijebuland, recently lost one of his Otunbas. He is Otunba (Amb) Emmanuel Olufemi Fowora who was born on Christmas day, 25th December 1936 in Ijebu-Ode. He died on 27th January, 2020 at the age of 84. He is one of the Ijebu Chiefs the Awujale likes a lot. And Kabiyeesi does not hide it.
In his lifetime, he was the Otunba Setejoye of Ijebu-land. He was also an accomplished diplomat. That Awujale likes the late Ijebu high Chief became clear in December 2016 when Amb. Emmanuel Olufemi Fowora turned 80 and the Awujale wrote a beautiful one-page Tribute in his honor. Titled Welcome To The Noble Club, Oba Adetona addressed him as My Dear Femi. Oba Adetona revealed that he fondly calls the deceased Ambassador or sometimes, Afemo. He will be buried in a few days’ time.
